[Mitake machine] Halo 5 Forge Map

I saw this via a Facebook post from the Halo Podcast Evolved group. HAD to repost it here!

That is some MIGHTY scripting there!

Here is the description from Youtube:
This map was made in Forge mode of HALO 5.
BLUE (one person) must steer the machine to fight with the RED .
Two cores are in one arm. There are four cores in total. Visor breaks when all cores are broken.
Destroy the core in the helmet (or destroy the core top of the head when the machine falls down) Red can fight with the driver. Defeat!

Wow, I have to really try this out! Looks VERY menacing!

Warzone Turbo NOW LIVE!

This is an AWESOME reblog from Halo Waypoint!

warzone-turbo-banner-951077c711f8405696b5d4231bef18c7

This morning, a special little game mode we like to call Warzone Turbo landed on the matchmaking shores of Halo 5: Guardians. What is this “Warzone Turbo” thing? We thought you’d never ask! Actually, we knew you would – which is why we grabbed Lead Multiplayer Designer Lawrence Metten to give you the inside scoop.

Warzone Turbo is fiesta-esque mayhem on a gigantic scale, where you are instantly placed at Level 9 as soon as your Home Base is secure, and are imbued with near-instantaneous energy regeneration. Everything is fair game as players have access to their entire REQ inventory for the full duration of the match.

Funny enough, originally we had no plans to ever release Warzone Turbo. We created the game type at the request of our test team so that they could more efficiently test Warzone features and functionality without having to wait to level up or refill energy. Then one day we made the “mistake” of giving the mode a whirl during our afternoon studio playtest. It was incredibly chaotic and surprisingly a ton of fun to play, which inevitably led to a long and drawn out internal discussion that went something like this:

“Should we ship this?”

“We can’t not ship this!”

After a bit of extra polish, a couple tuning tweaks, and a handful of scattered adjustments later and Warzone Turbo is ready for your enjoyment. I look forward to jumping into the playlist and joining the pandemonium with you all this weekend!

Couldn’t have said it better ourselves, Lawrence. Warzone Turbo is available now until Monday morning, April 4th, so make sure you take part in the furious fracas while you can! And be sure to let us know what you think about Warzone Turbo in this dedicated feedback thread on Waypoint’s forums.

We’ll see you online, Spartans!

HFFL: Okay…I know what I”m doing all weekend!

New Community maps added BTB and Grifball!

I will have more details on this tomorrow. For now let me say these new maps are a LOT of fun!!

So far I’ve played on 3 new community made BTB maps and one of the new Grifball maps.

Pas well, there have been some revisions to Deadlock. For one, it’s MUCH bigger. The lighting is SO ,ch better. While not quite a prefect translation of Stand Off from Halo 3, it is close. It FEELS much better to play on. One key change…NO SPAWN SWAPS! Yep. That’s right folks, you spawn with your team side of the map!!!

On another note, I’m streaming through twitch now. So come check out my channel at twitc.tv/halofanforlife. I plan on steaming every time I’m on. And hopefully soon, I’ll be able to have giveaways during the streams too.

Torque Map Update

Hot off the presses, this update was just posted about 18 minutes ago on Waypoint as of this writing.

This is a reblog from Halo Waypoint:

The Multiplayer Team has just pushed out a robust update to Torque that should improve the overall quality of the map. The following changes will take effect immediately:

  • Fixed the pistons in Red/Blue Yard to have the same height when down/up
  • Updated the location names to help player orientation
  • Replaced red exploding barrels with blue fusion coils on the Blue side of the map for player orientation
  • Adjust cover pieces to open up longer sight lines across “Top Mid”
  • Added Shotgun to “Top Mid” for Strongholds
  • Adjusted spawn points to provide better spawning behavior

We’ll continue to make adjustments based on your feedback, as well as provide regular updates about what the team is working on.

HFFL: How are you folks liking Torque? I have to be honest, I’m not a fan of the gameplay on it. Yet.. It’s still very new. I just haven’t found a groove on it yet. I think it needs some spawn adjustment as well as weapons/power weapons adjustment.

Future Halo 5 Update speculation

Okay, now that we’ve been shown an ever so slight peek as to what’s to come, let’s speculate on what those updates may actually include, shall we?

First, here is the part of the graphic that shows some of the next few updates:

H5 Updates coming soon

Now of course each update will have a set of emblems, likely armor, and possibly weapons. So some of those areas of speculation may be skimmed over.

Now let’s take a look at each one specifically and speculate. Continue reading

Hammer Storm is HERE!

Okay, you folks may have already read my detailing of this month’s update. Now comes 343’s official word on all things Hammer Storm! Needless to say this is a reblog from Halo Waypoint:

Hammer Storm Main

The Hammer Storm content release for Halo 5: Guardians delivers hard-hitting new multiplayer modes and REQs, as well as a new Arena map guaranteed to get any Halo multiplayer fan’s pistons fired up! For the first time in Halo 5: Guardians, you can experience fan-favorite modes like Assault, Grifball, and Fiesta Slayer, and get your Spartan’s hands on classic Halo weapons like the Halo: Combat Evolved Pistol and Gravity Hammer. Hammer Storm is now available as a free and automatic download.

ASSAULT

This classic Halo game type has been revamped and makes its way into Halo 5: Guardians in the Hammer Storm update! The objective of Assault is simple – Take the ball to the enemy’s goal to score. It’s important to take down enemies to gain control before rushing for the ball, located in a neutral position on the map. Remember, you’ll be unable to shoot when holding the ball, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be completely defenseless. One melee is all that’s required to take down your foes with the ball, and carriers are equipped with two thrust charges to close the distance fast! Take down enemies, secure the ball, and march into opponent’s base to score points – this is Assault.

ALL NEW ARENA MAP – TORQUE

Commissioned by Lethbridge Industrial in 2555, Auriga Station served as one of the company’s preeminent research and development facilities. Fitted with the latest in UNSC fabrication systems and Sangheili-procured forges, the station could also carefully disassemble, analyze, and rebuild nearly any piece of recovered technology to aid in reverse-engineering efforts. Stripping bare Lethbridge’s vast archives of secrets and making a mockery of their counter-cyberintrusion suites, Cortana quickly repurposed the loyalties of the station’s resident AI and removed the human crew. Spartans Never Walk Alone

This is a reblog from Halo Waypoint:

BY JOSHINGTONSTATE

Last month we learned about a community member’s tragic loss. Adam (aka thecrzedspartan) and his wife Rebecca lost their daughters Trinity and Lena when their lives were claimed by an electrical fire in their family home. As a father, I can only imagine the heartache and pain caused by this loss. In the days following the tragedy, it was inspiring to see the Halo community come together to support Adam and Rebecca in a variety of ways.

In honor of Adam’s family and his daughters, Trinity and Lena, we’ve created the Spartans Never Walk Alone pack. This pack contains the True Light emblem, which is named after the first initial of each of his daughters’ names, and is the first animated emblem to come to Halo 5. All players will receive this pack as part of this month’s free update.

Emblem_TrueLight

As well we have included a special feature in our new Arena map, Torque. As players look up and scan the stars above, the names Trinity and Lena will be visible in the night sky. These are but small gestures meant to honor Adam’s daughters, ensuring that their memories are always close at hand within the universe he loves.

HFFL: HUGE Respect to 343 for doing this! What a tribute!
