Last issue, we knocked out some more Hog Wild REQ fiction, and sat down with new-to-Halo author John Jackson Miller, who is contributing stories for both Halo: Fractures and Halo: Tales From Slipspace. After a week break to gather our strength – and sanity – we’re back and in full E3-prep mode.

Community Update: All Units

The pre-E3 Community Update is a ritual. It is a calm before the storm. By the time you read this, many from the 343 and Xbox team will already be down in Los Angeles preparing for the ceremonious week ahead. Others will soon follow. Like many before it, this one will be a brief update that will ensure you’re ready for the week ahead. I’ve also spent some time this past week with devs that you have yet to hear from in a weekly update, and we spoke about a specific something they’ve been working on. All that and more today. Cue cool music.

The Halo Championship Series: Pro League is now officially underway, and Halo fans across the globe have had their dials tuned to Halo.gg for the latest news, standings, and info on top Halo players and teams. With Week 1 of the Summer 2016 season in the books, Halo esports fans now have a brand new destination to get their fix – but this time the action is all auditory. We’re excited to announce the debut of HCS Listen-In, the official Halo esports podcast.

Hosted by 343 Industries staff, HCS Listen-In will cover the latest news and rumors, recap and preview all the drama of the HCS Pro League, and give fans insight straight from the pros into the deep, exciting, and evolving world of Halo esports. From special guests that include experienced veterans and up-and-coming stars, HCS Listen-In will give Halo fans all over the world the official inside story on the HCS Pro League.

The inaugural episode breaks down all the Week 1 action – and looks ahead to Week 2 matchups – from the HCS Pro League, takes a closer look at the HCS Open Circuit, explores the latest roster moves, answers community questions, and more.
