What is the most obvious visual difference between the regular Covenant Plasma Rifle and the Brute Plasma Rifle? AND…What is the name of the Brute leader in Halo 2?

Okay folks, first to answer correctly gets a Halo Mega Bloks Convention Covert Ops Spartan Mk VI w/green visor (as seen here), as well as either another Halo Mega Bloks figure OR a McFarlane Avatar minifigure.
[UPDATE] The question has been answered correctly. The difference is the color (red vs purple) and Tartarus is the Brute leader.

Difference is the color, the Brute one is a dark crimson. The Brute leader was Tartarus.

I would say the biggest difference is the color: the Brute ones are red. Chieftain Tartarus is the Brute leader

the difference between the rifles is that the brute plasma rifle is red while the original one is purple blue and it was in the game halo 2 and halo 3: ODST.
