A gift from a fan.

Yesterday, I received a package in the mail. As I wasn’t expecting anything, I really didn’t know what was in the bubble envelope. Much to my happiness it was 4 new Halo Mega Bloks series 9 figures. But not just any of the commons…

The fan who wished to be anonymous (I will say it’s someone with whom I’ve traded Mega Bloks with before and that’s how they had my address) sent me the Ultra Rare, TWO of the chase translucent figures and a Security Spartan.

Series 9 gift from a fan

Obviously this person knows I LOVE translucent figures. Getting two of the three chase figures is AWESOME! The third is a blue translucent Crawler. The Skirmisher is the Ultra Rare in series 9. I’m a BIG fan of Skirmishers. When I found out there would be one in series 9, I was very happy, but I figured it was going to be hard to find, never mind trying to army build them. So when I saw one included in the package, I was ecstatic and relieved at the same time. I likely won’t be able to army build these.

Now about that Security Spartan… Heh, I think they were sending it as a joke. I’ve made mention that I am not at all a fan of that helmet (Not Mega Bloks, but the helmet in general)  So I suppose they tossed it in the package to poke a fun jab at me.

Heh, no worries. I’m very grateful for all of them, including the Security Spartan.

So my sincere thanks to @$%(@*&#$^% for sending the figures. Given that they sent the ultra rare and two chase figures, this is one heck of a gift. I hope they had extras of their own!

Oh, I should note, these are not the new articulated/removable armor figures. Those come with Series Alpha, which is sort of like a reboot to the minifig series.
