And on with the pics! (Click pics to make BIGGER)

As usual, the box art is well done. On the front, Mega calls out the fact of the figure being super poseable.MB Falcon Box front
The back of the box seen below shows how the armor can come off of the figure and also highlights the previous three micro fleet sets.MB Falcon Box back
The side view of the box. This shows how far out the helmet juste from the packaging.MB Falcon Box sideMB Falcon contents
Above are the contents in the box. Note that the bags are NOT in the helmet, instead being loose within the box.MB Falcon back baseplate
The pic above demonstrates how when you press down on the tab of the back baseplate that it easily comes off. You can use that piece as a baseplate to display this set.MB Falcon sorted
Here are all the pieces sorted. This was done VERY quickly.MB Falcon steps
Above we see the micro Falcon come together quickly. Mega did a fantastic job of design on this for such a small model.MB Falcon Snowbound turret
Turns out, five pieces are all you need to make a micro Snowbound turret. Who knew?MB Falcon stand
The stand above is used to make the micro Falcon see like it’s flying above the surface.MB Falcon scene verticalMB Falcon scene horizontal
The pic above shows that Mega also included a small space through the body of the ship that emulates the actual model in game. Again, for it being so small, Mega did great with including key details.MB Falcon sniper
This is the lone weapon with the set. A sniper rifle.MB Falcon Blue Mark VI minifig
The figure is awesome. It’s slightly bulkier than the originals, which I’m perfectly happy with as I feel Spartans should be a little more bulky.MB Falcon added articulation
In the pic above, you see how the added articulation in the shoulders and elbows allow the mini figure to hold the sniper across his chest. This was possible to that degree with the previous articulation.
MB Falcon removeable armor
Here we see the figure with the armor removed. Seeing this makes me want unarmored spartans with human heads. I’m hope Mega does a Majestic Squad set with them in their off-duty spartan attire. Basically it’s the above figure, but all in black, with the hands showing and of course a human head, instead of a helmet. The lower legs would have to be different too as the one above is armored.

MB Falcon Armor Bay 1
Now THIS is what I’ve been waiting for. Finally I have the opportunity to use my customized version of the UNSC Infnity Armor Bay (which I reviewed HERE). The arms articulate nicely to fit on the Spartan’s front and back torso armor.MB Falcon Armor Bay 2

Summary: This set is a quick build. I had no difficulties with it at all. Though in my haste, I broke the small clip piece that is the top part of the stand. Again, not a flaw from Mega, just me working to fast.

Overall Rating: I give this set 10 out for 10 medals. This set is a great addition to the micro fleet line of Halo Mega Bloks. The Falcon is one of my favorite vehicles in all of Halo, so I’m glad it got the micro treatment.

The price for this set is between $13-15 depending on where you get it from. As stated above, I got this at no cost from Mega Bloks to review early and share with all of you good folks.

I highly recommend it, whether you have collected the previous micro fleet sets or not. If you have though, this is a MUST BUY, in my opinion.

Thanks for reading and let me know what you think of the review. If you get this set yourself, please let me know your thoughts on it too!

  1. I’ve gotten more excited about the micro sets than the big ones since they started coming out. I hope that they do well to bring even more. Did mega bloks say when these might be hitting the stores? Also, if you have a falcon assembled could you take a picture of it with the micro falcon?
Oh, I’m guessing there wasn’t enough pieces left over to do a mini falcon of the micro falcon lol (as you normally seem to try to build something with the left over pieces).

    • Sure, I’ll take a comparison photo. Heh, and yeah, there were no extra pieces to make anything. The sets should be on store shelves within weeks. End of July-beginning of August. Some people have been able to find a few sets here and there. I know Wal*Mart has many of them in stock on their website, at least as of yesterday.
