Pics have now been revealed of Agent Locke from Halo Nightfall. These are the first to be revealed!

Agent Locke (Mike Colter) as we know is the main character in Ridley’ Scott’s production.

As we can see, Locke isn’t quite yet a Spartan in these shots. Nightfall is said to be an origin series of sorts for him.

If you zoom in on the bottom half of the pic, specifically the shoulder, you can see he’s already part of ONI as the emblem is there on a patch. As well, it looks like it’s there on his chest plate. The weapon he’s holding appears to be a BR or DMR.

Now let’s consider what that lower pic might mean also? There are two other (presumably) agents with him. They are both looking at the ground. The female appears to have something in her hands. Is this some sort of scanning device? Are the trio there to investigate something? Is this the pivotal moment when Locke decides to be a Spartan?

Okay, yes, I infer a lot from one pic. I always do. It’s fun to guess/theorize.

I’m thinking that Halo Nightfall will be similar to Spartan Ops though, as in, we will only be given access to a new episode once a week. We’ll find out more when Halo: The Master Chief Collection launches 11.11.14!

Shout out to Drew and Abdallah from Podcast Evolved for posting the pic/link to source.

    • Which link from Halo wiki cites that specifically? I need confirmation of that well beyond a wiki link.

      • For some reason I can’t upload the picture to here but the Official Xbox Magazine preview of The Master Chief Collection says that there will be five (or more) 90-minute episodes and that they will be released weekly up to the launch of the Halo 5: Guardians beta which starts on December 27.

      • Put a link in a reply. I’m pretty sure replies are set to not allow pictures. (I don’t want anyone posting anything vulgar.)

      • Yes, split into parts, but it still hasn’t been defined how many parts. I read that article and it does not say how many parts. Yes, it will be like Forward Unto Dawn in that aspect. That doesn’t mean it will be 5 parts though. Given that it’s 6 weeks from the Halo: The Master Chief Collection to the Halo 5 Guardians BETA, it could mean 6 parts. Could be less. Until I see that coming directly from 343, via a official source, I can’t report on it as such. I want to be as accurate as possible with this.

  1. Pretty sure its a DMR because both weapons have that triangle patterning near the back.

  2. Waypoint has put up a third picture and hi-res versions of the two you have above:

One thing I noted in the new image is that it shows a rank patch on his left shoulder confirming he is a Lt Commander. If you are correct, and this is the pre-Spartan version of Locke, then I think that would make him the highest ranked individual to go through augmentation that we have seen so far. And it would presumably make him senior in rank to Sarah Palmer as she did not attain that rank until Spartan Ops.
