This is yet another set I need to thank my wife for getting for me. She actually bought me two other sets too (for our wedding anniversary). That’s one other reason why I love her!
As usual, the box art is well done. On the front, Mega calls out the fact of the figures are super pose able.
On the back is shows the articulation. As well you see the other two themed ‘Containment’ sets. They all compliment each other nicely.
The contents of the box above.
Here are the pieces sorted out. There are 23 pieces, then the two figures. So each fig accounts for 15 pieces each.
The Commando Spartan. He’s nice and bulky. I’m not usually an orange fan, but this looks really good for the theme. And you can break these out for a Halloween set up too!
The Zombie Operator Spartan has the base torso armor. Note the knife isn’t painted on it.
It glows in the dark VERY well! I had it exposed to light for the 5 minutes it took to sort and build the set and this is how it glowed.
Here is the fig again, with armor off and in the dark as well. Man, I’m LOVING the GitD pieces! And finally, the set completed and in the dark as well.
Summary: This set is a VERY quick build. You can do this on your lunch hour (school or work), with much time to spare. It’s meant to be a small set and I think more of an add-on to the Containment Outpost set. The cost is $10 and I think that is SPOT ON! Each fig being $3-3.50 each brings that to $6-7. The remaining amount is easily consumed by the remaining pieces. The set bar the figures is great for diorama pieces too.
Overall Rating: I give this set 10 out for 10 medals. This set is great for the value, figures included, as well as the weapons, and accessories. Should this go on sale, I’ll be looking to buy extras for the set pieces. So that means I’ll likely be giving the extra figures away on the blog here.
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think of the review. If you get this set yourself, please let me know your thoughts on it too!
If this review gives you an informed decision on whether to purchase the set or not, please consider a small donation (50 cents) maybe. It’s much appreciated and helps ensure that HFFL stays on the internet.
Thank You.

You probably already know about it, but I was just on the Halo Mega Bloks site and saw an interesting new set called revenant raid.
Yes, it’s exclusive to Wal*Mart though some small on-line retailers have gotten their hands on them too. But for the two Elites, this set isn’t a high priority for me. Big reason is the Revenant itself. It was in desperate need of a redesign. This would have been a perfect opportunity. However, MEGA decided to go with the one they already have, just making it in a different color. It’s the side wings that bother me the most about this build. They are wrongly built.
