Here are three more sets my wife got for me as part of my birthday gifts.

MB new pods
These pods come exactly as the ones from last year did. This is the first time we’ve had Elite drop pods in the simplified mold (2-part mold).MB new pods contents
Above shows the contents. A figure, weapon and 2X4 blok each. AS well as an insert sheet, shown below.MB new pods insertMB new pods weapons
Each set has it’s on blok with ‘Halo’ printed on it, in the color of the figure.MB new pods elite comps
As you can see above, the Elites are exactly the same with exception to the armor color. I like both of these colors.MB new pods ODST comp
The new style ODST is a really good figure. If you want to have  some base black figures (minus the heads), this is a great figure to have. The armor color isn’t in the game, but looks nice.
MB new pods ODST unarmored
Speaking of, here is the figure minus it’s armor.MB new pods FINAnd finally each set with it’s respective figure, blok and weapon.

Summary: These sets are decent for the money. They are $1 more than blind packed figures. At least here you know exactly which ones you’re getting as well as have a neat 2-piece Drop Pod mold that you can set up and use to store your Mega Bloks in.

Overall Rating: I give this set 9.5 out for 10 medals. The only thing I would have wanted different in these sets is a painted weapon. That accounts for the half point off.

I definitely recommend them. So that just leaves it up to your preference of armor colors. There is another new ODST drop pod with super pose able ODST mini figure that comes in blue (as seen on the insert sheet above). Hopefully I’ll get that one as well.

Thanks for reading and let me know what you think of the review. If you get this set yourself, please let me know your thoughts on it too!

If this review gives you an informed decision on whether to purchase the set or not, please consider a small donation (50 cents) maybe. It’s much appreciated and helps ensure that HFFL stays on the internet.

Thank You.

  1. I really enjoyed the 2 elite drop pods, especially how they included those covenant symbols on their armor.
