Above all the pieces sorted out. (I couldn’t wait to get right into this build. It was hard to force myself to sort the pieces for the review!)
The Mongoose build along the way. Clearly this Mongoose is MUCH better than ALL previous Mongeese before it. The chassis even looks more industrial with all that grey and bulk to it.
Note that this Mongoose has printed decals on it. That is SO much better than having a sticker sheet, IMO.
The set comes with Emile’s two iconic weapons, both the shotgun and his Kukari Knife.
These are the parts I had left over.

So, I built them into this. (You’ll see what I did with this in a little bit…)
Emile from the front, sides, and back.
Here he is with his armor removed. A first for grey Spartan underarmor in the new articulated figures.

Here’s a view of Emile sans armor from the back. The detail is excellent. Mega could have skimped here if they wanted to, yet chose to go the better route. THANKS Mega!
Emile’s faceplate. While not a perfect match to the game, at this scale, it works quite well and you can instantly tell what it’s supposed to be. Apologies for the grainy shot here. I really had to zoom in to get the close-up of the helmet. 
Emile is ready to take on any Elite who finds themselves a challenge for him.

So here is that extra pieces build. I decided to make it a tall gas can, kind of like the ones used in professional racing. (We do have Race as a game type in Halo after all…)And finally the whole set together. Conveniently, there are two pieces with holes in them just in front of the mirrors that you can use to stowe the weapons. Above shows the knife in one of them.

Summary: The set is a very quick build. With mirrors, better steering and kickstand, this Mongoose is the one to own! Mega Did an outstanding job of the sculpt of Emile’s armor. It’s quite unique!

Overall Rating: I give this set 10 out for 10 medals. There is no way I could give this set anything less than a perfect 10. A named character, especially one as cool as Emile, a completely revamped and MUCH better design of the Mongoose, make this a MUST-HAVE set!

Do I recommend it?  Um, did you read my above statements? LOL This is a resounding YES! I’m planning on getting a second set to have an extra Mongoose. 

I do hope this mongoose is rereleased again (in the same color please Mega) with other figures. A basic Marine would be fine as people might be more inclined to buy multiples of it. Either way, I know I’ll get each rerelease, it’s that GOOD!
