As the title suggests, there is a way to get the HMCC (technically) free or at a great discount.
Target is having a sale the week of 11/9/14 (the week the HMCC comes out) of buy 2 get 1 free video games.
I haven’t yet bought the Borderlands Pre-Sequel as I had intended and my wife wants Lego Batman 3 which comes out the same week as the HMCC. So we’re going to go against the Gamestop grain here and purchase those games from Target. Gamestop won’t match that offer. I know as I called them to check, while I wrote this article.
So folks, if you’ve been thinking about getting some games for yourself or for others for the holidays, this is an excellent offer from Target. It looks like this is an in-store only deal, though I can’t yet confirm that or not.

So it looks like I’ll be able to save $60! The $15 I had put down ($5 each) as pre-ordering for those three at GameStop will just go to store credit, which I know I’ll undoubtedly use at some point.

Fair enough, though I personally can’t wait for the HMCC, so that’s a first day purchase for me. Unless I get some miracle early copy…
