Halo 2 / Halo2 Anniversary Cinematic Trailer Comparison!

My good friend MixMaker117 shared the link with me to his comparison video of Halo 2 and Halo 2 Anniversary’s Cinematic Trailers. It’s so cool to watch these side by side. Graphics have come a LONG way. Yet still, the old trailer brings on the feelings again.

Enjoy the vid below and please give Mix a LIKE on the vid.

  1. everybody gets the 1:04 makr wrong, its not In Amber Clad flying towards 05, but flying over earth in the last part of the return to sender cutscene

  2. Blur Studios did a great job and the remastered cutscenes look great. However, the original game had all its cutscenes rendered in real time as opposed to the pre-rendered cutscenes that 343 seems to like so much. Do you prefer the cutscenes to use the game’s engine or be pre-rendered? It doesn’t bother me which method is used and it was just something I noticed but I would like to hear your opinion about it.

    • Well, cut scenes are just that. They ‘cut away’ from the action. I really do prefer the Blur cut scenes as we get to see Halo in as realistic style as possible for technology right now. Game engine cut scenes aren’t bad, but they are usually never as good as something rendered, like what Blur does.
