The packaging as always looks nice. Above is the front, back, and then the front again without the bubble and pieces attached to it.
This is what you get in the package. The tray of pieces and two small bags of parts, plus the directions.
Here’s everything sorted out.
The cyclops’ build is the same up to this point as the others. From here it takes a different turn.
Note, that there are extenders on the shoulders to elevate the shoulder armor. As well, as shown by the insert, the forearms have been replaced with those 2×2 connecting pieces.
Also note that this cyclops’ cockpit is not transparent as the other ones have been.
The heavily armed weapons are built and ready to be attached.
Above shows the front, back and sides of the mech.
This version of a UNSC Marine is the first time we’ve had it in this color scheme. It somewhat reflects the color scheme of the mech itself, but in lighter colors. I haven’t found this exact version in Halo 4 yet, so I can’t say if this is game accurate or not.
As you can see the figure fits in the cockpit easily. And the full set. One thing I forgot to photograph that I usually do separately are the weapons/accessories. This set comes with a silver Railgun and Black Backpack for the Marine.
Summary: The set is a quick build, just as all the other cyclops are. Though this one might take one extra minute due to the new armed forearms.
Overall Rating: I give this set 7.5 out for 10 medals. This set has an okay value at $15.
So why did I give this a 7.5 out of 10?
• First, there is the fact that this version hasn’t been seen in any of the games.
• Next, this is the eighth variant of the cyclops. I really think it’s time to retire this mold/toy.
• Cockpit isn’t transparent.
• With only 3 missiles on the one arm, isn’t that kind of limiting?
At this point, if more cyclops MUST be made, then I only want to see a team Blue and team Red cyclops, then call it done. But really, if Mega calls it quits for this toy here, I’m perfectly okay with it. It’s been done WAY too many times.
Do I recommend it? Only if you’re a fan of the cyclops. OR if you really have a desire to own those weapon forearms. Otherwise, this is one I can see people passing on.
That last sentence was hard for me to put in as I almost never say to not buy a set from Mega. This is one of those rarest of times.

I agree with you, the Cyclops is getting overdone. I bought it because I have all but one of them. I really do like the marine in this set. It is probly one of my favorites. It is something about that paint scheme. I paired him with a painted smg and it looks great. Great review again by the way.
Thanks Chad. Yeah, I like the marine too. But to get the set just for the figure isn’t worth it, IMO.
When will all of the toy fair stuff be posted?
