And on with the pics! (Click pics to make BIGGER)
This multiplayer spartan looks phenomenal in the package! I might have to buy a second one of these to keep it this way, it’s that good.
In the package you get the figure, an Assault Rifle a Magnum and a REQ pack code.
Orthogonal views of the Athlon.
Close up of the thigh weapon placement.
Some close-up views of different portions of the Athlon figure.
Now let’s get into the action poses for this figure!
The Athlon stands at the ready nicely.
Letting his other Spartans know where the enemy is at.
Kicking down what? Maybe a door or a poor little Grunt…
Look, he can do a one-handed push-up!!
Another view of the figure in running position.
Evaluation
Sculpt: There is no way I can fault any of the sculpt here. It’s fantastic! 10 of 10 medals!
Articulation: The Athlon has slightly better articulation in the shoulder due to the smaller shoulder armor. The H5G s-1 figs have one drawback with articulation, that being the hips. Posing, in some natural human poses, can be difficult. (This has remained consistent through the first of the Halo 5 Guardians figures) 8.5 out of 10 medals
Paint Application: The paint here is vibrant! No weathering, which in this particular instance I’m happy about. 10 of 10 medals.
Accessories: Looks like we’re getting a magnum with every figure. With a painted Assault Rifle as well, you’ve got a Spartan ready with a Primary and Secondary weapon. 10 out of 10 medals
Playability: I am really enjoying this figure. Easily the one I’ve posed in the most positions of the Halo 5 Guardians wave 1 figures. 10 of 10 medals.
Overall: 48.5 medals out of a total 50 medals.
This figure really is that good. Oh but for the hip articulation, it would have received 50 of 50!!
Do I recommend this product? Oh My YESSSS! I do have to admit that I’m partial to this color scheme as I’m from Pittsburgh and our Sports teams use this color scheme.
