A Closer Look: Mega Bloks Halo Heroes Series 2

Mega Bloks has released the following official pics of Halo Heroes series 2. Let’s take a closer look at each figure! Oh before you go further, these are computer rendered graphics here, not the final product, but they definitely represent the final figures.

Spartan ScoutHaloSeries2_SCOUTI’m liking the deco on this one. The shark faced AR is awesome!

Sergeant ForgeHaloSeries2_FORGE[1]In anticipation for Halo Wars 2, we finally get an awesome original Halo Wars character, Sgt. Forge! I’m VERY excited to get this figure! I will likely get a few of this one for various reasons.

Spartan GungnirHaloSeries2_GUNGNIR[1]
I’m am VERY happy with this Spartan. It reflects one of the pre-order skins from Halo 4. Just so happens, that was my favorite of the pre-order skins! The Lightrifle even has it’s on deco, that being the Steampunk skin. I hope we see more weapons with that skin on it. Another fav of mine.

Spartan OceanicHaloSeries2_OCEANIC[1]Of these 6, this is my least favorite. That’s not to say it’s a bad choice. The big thing for me with this figure is the BR’s arctic camo skin! Again, another skin I hope we see on other weapons.

Romeo (ODST)HaloSeries2_ROMEO[1]YES! With this ODST we finally have ALL of the Squad from Halo 3 ODST! I’m super excited to complete the squad and have a small diorama featuring them in it.

Spartan DeMarcoHaloSeries2_DEMARCO[1]
Spartan DeMarco marks the second officially named Spartan from Fireteam Majestic. The deco is spot on and we get a NEW BR with the base skin on it. AWESOME!

I am really liking that with this on-going series, Mega is completing teams of UNSC forces! What are some of YOUR desires for characters to come out in this series?

I have so many to list that well…I”ll just stop short of doing that. LOL

The following is a blurb from Mega:

Hey guys! Today we’re excited to talk with you all about the latest addition to our Halo Heroes lines, Series 2! As most of you are aware, our Halo Heroes are deluxe micro action figures that are super pose-able and made to be displayed in dynamic action poses on buildable stands with their character’s name. Series 2 continues that same attitude with brand new choices of your favorite characters and armors. Below, we’ll give you a closer look at each character you can expect to find in our latest series!

While Halo Heroes Series 2 is technically a Fall 2016 item, some lucky collectors have already started to find them in their local retail stores, so keep your eyes open — you may be able to continue your collection sooner than you think!

  1. Aha! So there is a new Battle Rifle (also you put DMR instead of BR for DeMarco)!

Anyways, I find it strange that this line is called Halo Heroes yet it features random Spartans. I would think that there would only be named figures but I guess not. Hopefully there will be other figures important to the Halo universe like Halsey, Keyes, or even Anders.

    • Thanks for the catch on the DMR/BR. I know DeMarco normally has a DMR. I think that was on the brain when I typed it out. LOL As for why there are random Spartans, well, to be fair, these ones have armor ‘skins’ on them. They wouldn’t be seen in the regular line. Just about all Spartans are heroes anyway. I would guess that is their thinking. I do agree though, I’d rather this be a named character only line. But then, that would shorten the length of the Heroes line. SO that’s another reason I think we are getting random Spartans. And your suggestions are on my list too.Over the years I’ve presented such lists to Mega in some form or another. I think they are quite aware of important named characters. The decision on which to make partly lies in ‘will it sell’. Halsey might not, even though she’s integral to the Halo storyline. Cant Keyes? Yeah, I can see him being made as the parts could be reused for other UNSC officer figures. Anders, not to much either. Again though, we might see those named characters in other sets in the future. I hope so!
