Okay, before we move on, yes, Mega took a little liberty here with having a Rocket Boost set as there isn’t a Rocket Boost in-game. Perhaps this was to be in the game, but got cut? We won’t know, unless 343 tells us. I for one am NOT complaining though. This is a GREAT set. Read on and find out why!!!

On with the pics! (Click pics to make BIGGER)

The window shows the figure, weapons and REQ station nicely. The back shows 3 of the other 4 in this series of Power Packs. (MIssing is the Purple Speed Boost set)

Inside you get a small bag of parts, an instruction sheet and the tray of figure, weapons and REQ station.

Here are all the pieces you get in this set. NOTE: The translucent clear/orange piece on the front of the REQ station can be detached.

These Power Pack sets are, as of this writing, the one of the RARE ways to get the REQ skins. Doubtful we’ll see these again, so I recommend getting them now, if you want them. Seen below are the Rocket Launcher (SPNKR Prime skin) TOP, DMR (Blue Steel skin) MIDDLE, Battle Rifle (Fade skin) BOTTOM.

Just look at the amount of detail on the Rocket Launcher!

Here is how to assemble the DMR with it’s accessories:

Again note that these are interchangeable with the BR.

The REQ Station itself can be clipped together to allow for it to swing open/close. You can move the clips for the weapons to whatever position you want. Below shows the default position, per the instructions.

The REQ Station can fully close around the weapons attached inside for ease of storage.

The Spartan itself also has the color theme. Here it has mostly translucent orange armor. Man, I LOVE these figures with the Power Pack sets. While not fully translucent, they still scratch that itch quite well!

And yes, the figure can indeed hold and carry all three weapons!

Summary: The set has virtually no build time. It’s unique weapon skins are a selling point and one in which I suspect many collectors will buy these Power Packs for. If you like translucent figures (As long time readers know I DO!), these sets are for you!

Overall Rating: I give this set 10 out for 10 medals.

Why did I give it a 10 out of 10?
• I think the orange translucent pieces look great and really make the figure stand out.
• The sheer amount of detail painted on the rocket launcher is amazing, couple that with the other two well painted weapons and you’ve got a TRIFECTA of awesomeness!

Here’s my opinion on the break down of the value of this set. (In US dollars)
• The figure with one weapon and the figure stand equates to $3.50.
• The two other skinned weapons are $2 total.
• The REQ Station and Power Up button together make up another $1.50.
TOTAL: $7 (before tax and in U.S. dollars)

Given that the set costs $7 US before tax, this is a decent value. It’s right one par with the selling price. However, the amount of detail on the weapons does add some value here, IMO. So tack on another $1-2 worth of value. This makes the set and even better value, in my opinion.

Do I recommend it?  YES! Given the uniqueness of the weapons skins and color specific theme of the set, this is a neat set to have in one’s collection. And I recommend getting one of each of the FIVE in the series!
