And on with the pics! (Click pics to make BIGGER)

The card art is good one the front as it shows a close encounter. The back shows the contents of the set, including the weapons and the flashing on the UNSC weapons.

Here are the contents of the set. The figure tray, a small bag of parts and a folded instruction sheet.
NOTE: The Drones wings are not attached. However, they are slotted into the tray plastic. Be extra careful when removing these as they do not easily slip out. You may need to cut the tray plastic to release the wings.

Here are all the pieces sorted out. The Drones have the upper solid wings and translucent wings now attached.

This Missile Pod is comprised of 4 pieces, just as all the previously released ones have been.

To commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Mega Bloks/Construx having the Halo license, they have been including at least one gold color piece in each set. This set has a gold Trip Mine. I like it! We rarely get this accessory, so it’s nice to have, no matter the color.

There are seven pieces that make up the sandbag wall. Of which, five are sandbags themselves. I’m always happy to add more sand bags to my collection!

There are two marines in the set. A brown skinned one (shown here) and a medium peach skinned version. Other than skin color, they are exactly the same, so I chose to only show one of them.

There are also two Drones. They are exactly the same. Again, Drones haven’t been all that easy to come by. So having two in this small set is very nice. Makes it easy to army build!

And finally, the Drones attack the defending Marines! I love those little flash effects that you can attach to the guns. Adds a new level of realism!  There is a hole on the bottom of each drone that you can insert the clear rod into, to make them look like they are flying/hovering.

Summary: The set has virtually no build as it’s just the sandbag wall and the figures you assemble. It contains 2 marines, one with brown skin the other a medium peach skin, as well as 2 Drones, a Missile Pod and a sandbag wall. This is a nice amount of army builders with a few little side pieces to build up your adventure.

Overall Rating: I give this set 9.75 out for 10 medals.
Why did I give it a 9.75 out of 10?
• There is only one minor thing with the set that I wish would have been better. That being the color of the Marine helmets to match the armor. Other than that, this is a STELLAR set!!!

Here’s my opinion on the break down of the value of this set. (In US dollars)
• Each figure with a weapon and stand is $3.50.
• The Missile Pod I feel is worth $2. This especially because it’s a rather rare weapon to be released.
• The sandbag wall is worth $1.50. Not because of piece count, but rather that sandbags in the Halo line aren’t often included. So they are worth slightly more, IMO.
TOTAL: $17.50 (before tax and in U.S. dollars)

Given that the set costs $15 US before tax, I find the value good to very good.

Do I recommend it?  Most definitely! Especially if you’re an army builder! 2 Marines and 2 Drones? What’s not to love about that!!

This set as of this writing is rare to find, so buy it when you see it. I’m hoping to get 4 sets of this.
