A new category added to sidebar: HUNTtheTRUTH

Since it looks like there are going to be a lot more entries for this, I wanted to make it easier for you all to find the HUNTtheTRUTH (HTT) articles I’ve posted on the blog.

Go to the sidebar on the main page. Click on the button for ‘categories’. Scroll down. Just under the HaloWaypoint link is the sub-category for HUNTtheTRUTH. Click that and you’ll find all of the related articles. I’ll keep adding to this category as new HTT information presents itself.

HUNTtheTRUTH Another clue or a misdirection?

As of this writing, I can not corroborate the following two graphics coming from 343/Halo.

These were supposedly tweeted out by a ‘ghost’ twitter account and @Halo favorited it. However, I checked their account and could not find the favorite. So take these with a grain of salt. If /when I get corroborating links/evidence, I’ll post that information in this article. For now, treat it as a possible fan entry into the HTT campaign. Continue reading

HALO CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – SEASON 2 ANNOUNCEMENTS

This is a reblog from HaloWapoint:

image

Season 1 of the Halo Championship Series ended in spectacular fashion earlier this month, and we’re looking forward to an even bigger and better Season 2.

Over the past few months, we’ve been working with our partners, team organizations and players, and more to improve the HCS. In Season 2 alone, we’ll be giving out over $250,000 by increasing prize pools to all online cups, all LAN events and the Season 2 Finals. We’re also adding Forge maps to the map pool, updating roster rules, simplifying the points structure, and adding a brand new element to online cups: The Legendary Bracket. Continue reading

John’s Death record: Deciphering the code

The following graphic shows plenty of names. Other Spartans?? Perhaps. There is a letter for each in the fourth column, which are: B, D, I, P. What could each mean? We know ‘D’ means died from the episode one report from Beaming Giraud of the HUNTtheTRUTH series.

The most telling here is that the blacked out last name in the first column is that of Master Chief. As well, he is shown as being dead.

(We’ve got) Issues

Welcome back to Canon Fauxder, where all of your fiction dreams (or nightmares) come true. It’s obviously a busy time for Halo fans of all walks and interests, but especially for those who heed a canonical call. #HUNTtheTRUTH is in full swing, the Halo 5: Guardians release date is now out in the wild, and the new live action trailers have fans more excited than a wiki-writer reading Halo: Fifty Shades of Grey Team. Amidst all the excitement, I got together with 343 Franchise Development Director Frank O’Connor to pull some community questions and deliver the answers to you hot, fresh, and ready, like a Jimmy John’s 117. Let’s see what questions are on your mind.

Mattel to make Barbie as Cortana!

This is still in the prototype phase of development, so it’s still very much a work in progress.

I thought there already was a Cortana Barbie doll out there. Guess not. Now, I do NOT collect Barbie, but I might make this one-time exception. I mean, come on, it’s CORTANA!

M-CortanaHALO-R wip 4-1-15M-CortanaHALO-F wip 4-1-15M-CortanaHALO-L wip 4-1-15M-CortanaHALO-T wip 4-1-15

No word on when these might hit the market. The detail isn’t bad. May get better. Again, this is in prototype phase.

If I had to guess at price, I think Barbie runs around $10 or less? With this being a licensed product, maybe $12-15???

So what do you think? Would you get this?

Oh and BTW, this is an april fools joke…

The Spirit of Fire podcast episode 15: Locke and Master Chief commercials discussion

Spirit of Fire Podcast LOGO_R-sm

On Sunday, March 29, 2015, two Halo 5 Guardians commercials aired during the season finale of the Walking Dead. The first featured Locke, while the latter featured Master Chief. Both were near exact in shot and sequence, but with very different dialog. These were part of the beginning of the HUNTtheTRUTH campaign, leading up to Halo 5.

In this podcast, my co-host Zach and I discuss those two commercials at length comparing scenes. In fact, if you want to follow along with what were talking about in a visual manner, open up this link in another window.

Beyond this, we talk more about the HUNTtheTRUTH campaign. Specifically Episode 1: A Hairline Fracture of the Benjamin Giraud reports.

After this we discuss the newly amounted Halo Online game.

So please listen in on our discussion and let us know what you think about the topics we discussed as well as our speculation on it. Oh, I should note, my microphone wasn’t picking up my voice as well the whole time. So the volume of my voice seems to drop a little, then raise back up. Apologies on that. I’ll be looking into that issue to fix this for the next podcast.

This episode of the Spirit of Fire runs about one hour and 20 minutes.

HUNT the TRUTH commercial screenshot comparisons and discussion.

Now that the first two HUNTtheTRUTH commercials have been revealed, I take a look at certain images of each that are near identical to one another and delve a little deeper into the possible meaning between them.

If you haven’t seen the video on YouTube yet, check them out HERE (Locke) and HERE (Chief).

Okay, now that you’ve looked at them, let’s look at those comparable shots. The top portion is from Locke’s commercial, while the bottom, is Chief’s. Continue reading
