What 2 Halo Mega Bloks Prototype figures did I get at New York Toy Fair this year? Must include my article link as well as the two minifigures as your complete answer.
Winner receives 2 Mega Bloks sealed minifigures.
-Sal (HFFL)
Winner: Aaron Binder. Looks like he may go all the way. The correct answers were Cortana in a Brute Cheiftan. The Cortana is one of two unpainted protos and the Lime Green Brute is one of a kind. Here’s the original link: https://halofanforlife.com/?p=866
When did I first post an article about the final current logo for HFFL?
Link and date needed for correct answer.
Prize for this is a Mega Bloks Black Recon Spartan
-Sal (HFFL)
Winner. Once again Aaron Binder has won. The correct answer is 1/29/12. here’s the original link: https://halofanforlife.com/?p=538 I went through 25 designs before deciding on the final. Even then, I went through about another 6 variations on the design before coming up with the final logo.
Which is the first Halo Mega Bloks set I reviewed on the blog? (Winner must post the link to the article as well as name the set)
Question is open to all subscribers on the blog/twitter/facebook.
See previous articles for rules.
-Sal (HFFL)
WE HAVE A WINNER. Aaron Binder once again has found the answer. It is the Spade Vs. Skirmisher set. Great job Aaron!
What did I nickname the Spartan Doll found on the Anniversary Maps?
Again, answer can be found with my blog.
Winner will receive one Mega Bloks Halo minifig and one McFarlane Avatar minifig (this is a physicla toy, not a digital one for XBOX).
-Sal (HFFL)
WE HAVE A WINNER. Aaron Binder a follower on Twitter has answered the question correctly. I nicknamed the Spartan Doll Bob S-343. The name came from the “Bob” Elite in Reach. B.O.B. means “Born on board” and harkens back to an earlier Bungie game. the S-343 part is a pretty obvious reference to 343i, the new developers of Halo.
What map did I use for a Firefight lesson in Halo Reach?
First correct reply on any of the blog/twitter/facebook (only one winner, not three) will receive a Mega Bloks minifigure.
The answer can be found in the archives, though you may have to dig a little.
Good luck. Winner will be announced later today.

WE HAVE A WINNER. Aaron Binder once again has found the answer. The answer is Glacier. I chose this map to demonstrate as I found it to one of the easiest to defend. Piece of trivia on this. It only took me one game to do this. Immediately after that game I loaded up the film to my fileshare and rendered the film. then made the video. It all happened in less than an hour’s time. 1 take!
Prizes for various contests all day include:
Mega Bloks sealed minifigures ($3 value)
Mega Bloks Black Recon minifigure (upwards of $7-10 value)
Mega Bloks Cyan Mark V Spartan (a mail-in figure now no longer available) value on this is speculative as it is listed as high as $99 on eBay, but as low as $10. Suffice to say though, it’s increasingly hard to find.
Mega Bloks Space Banshee with pilot minifigure (Ship and figure only, does not include UNSC portions of this set. Value $12)
McFarlane Halo Avatar minifigures ($3 value)
McFarlane Halo Reach Steel figure/armor set ($25 value)
High-res HFFL made poster for download. (The poster will be revealed on the blog later, but only in low-res format.) Value-priceless. LOL. Really though I can’t put a price on this. It’s my own creation and I can’t sell it, so that’s why I’m giving it away as a prize.
So stay tuned all day and look for trivia contests about my blog.

I just got word via Twitter, that the information embargo for Halo 4 is lifted. While much has already been revealed, we can expect a LOT more info to come out now. In the meantime, I have a TON of articles to write.
That brings me to one point I need to mention. In the last couple of days, I’ve forgotten to give credit to a few people for tipping me to info. To those folks I apologize. Not my intention. As for retweeting on Twitter, I only do that a little bit. I prefer to write up an article myself based off of the info provided, that includes my own thoughts and views on the subject.
Now, on to a lot of new info, interviews, gameplay footage and more…
-Sal (HFFL)
It’s feeling ever closer. With new excerpts of music tracks released, more info on Spartan Ops, Armor revealed, and more, Halo 4 almost seems a breath away.
I don’t know about you, but I am getting EXCITED!

I’ll be arriving on Thursday October 11 and leaving on Sunday October 14. Looking forward to meeting some 343 folks, some of my fellow gaming group buds, Robert Kirkman (creator of “The Walking Dead”) and enjoying a Halo LAN party. Keeping everything else pretty loose for the weekend.
If you’re going to NYCC, let me know. I’d love to meet folks who have checked out my blog.
-Sal (HFFL)
Here are a few of the prizes to be won:
Halo Mega Bloks single pack minifigures
Halo McFarlane Avatar figures
Halo McFarlane Steel Spartan Armor pack (Comes with Gungnir spartan and 4 other different sets of armor to mix and match as you see fit.)
As stated before, the contest will be comprised of trivia questions. All of the answers can be found on my blog. Some answers may be buried deep, so you’ll have to check the HFFL archives for the answers.
Contest is limited to U.S. and Canada only. (Sorry folks, shipping is very high overseas, unless you’re willing to pay for it)
Must be 18 to enter, or have parents written permission (to me by e-mail) to enter. You must be registered on the blog to qualify to enter the trivia contest.
Winners will need to provide a shipping address for prizes.
Look for the HFFL Trivia contest within the week leading up to the Anniversary. There will also be 1 question each on my Twitter feed as well as Facebook page. You must be a follower/subscriber on those pages to enter.
