Just before flying home from San Diego Comic-Con less than two weeks ago, I remember looking down at my mobile device and reading “Seattle –> Cologne: 10 Days Until Check-in,” which meant we had just over a week to put the finishing touches on our presence at the world’s largest gaming event: gamescom in Cologne (Köln), Germany. There were new builds to test, videos with never-before-seen (and in some cases, not-yet-recorded) footage to finish, and much more as we prepared to show you new experiences. We are nearly ready to give you your first hands-on experience with Halo 2: Anniversary, and we are nearly ready to show you new things that you haven’t yet seen. Continue reading

Win a Grunt Plushie from Halo Waypoint!
Folks, this is a VERY cool little Grunt Plushie. These were only made available at PAX a few years back. They now go for $100 or more on eBay.
I’m still amazed that Waypoint has any left.
So here is YOUR chance to win one from Halo Waypoint! Continue reading
The Halo Bulletin 7-30-14
We braved crowds of hundreds of thousands. We accidentally waited in lines for 30 minutes while trying to exit the convention center. We were whacked in the head by a few too many poster tubes. We survived another San Diego Comic-Con and are here to tell the tale. More importantly, we gave you a first look at Halo: Nightfall and more details on Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo 2: Anniversary. Most importantly, however, may be the fact that we got to meet so many passionate Halo fans in San Diego this past weekend. Whether it was a mother and father who waited in a 2-hour line to get their son or daughter a signed poster, or a group of friends who can’t wait for November 11, it was truly a treat to talk about Halo with everyone in attendance. Whether you attended our panels, came to hang out at the Xbox Lounge, stopped us on the floor and just said “hello,” or have been following the news from home, we’d like to say thank you. We’re excited about what’s ahead, and we hope you are too. In this week’s issue, we’ve got a Comic-Con recap, the world premiere of our Halo: The Master Chief Collection developer panel, and more. Let’s dig in! Continue reading
The Halo Bulletin 7-23-14
The days before major gaming industry events are, in many ways, totally insane. As we prepare to show you new things, last-minute finishing touches are made with extreme care and caution. Teams of 343’ers stand huddled around one another’s desks, determining which images, scenes, and features will be shown for the first time. We argue over typefaces and screenshots, add last-minute reveals, and reiterate until we’ve got something great to share with all of you. Up until the last minute, we’re continually asking ourselves about the best ways to show you the new experiences that lie ahead. Continue reading
The Halo Bulletin 7-17-14
This bulletin would have been out sooner on the blog had I not tweaked my back. Apologies folks. Health comes first though.
Over the past two months, we’ve begun to share our plans for the current year and beyond. We started to announce new characters, vehicles, and re-mastered maps. In the near future, we’ll have more to share on everything from Halo: The Master Chief Collection to Halo: Nightfall, and more. We know you’re anxiously awaiting more details on these projects, and it just so happens that we’ll have new info to share with you quite soon. The next stop for the Halo team is sunny San Diego for the world famous Comic-Con International. Continue reading
Is Marty O’Donnell coming back to Halo????

The streets of Kirkland need cleaning up. Look at the trash I just ran into.

Okay, maybe this IS just a happenstance, but a Halo fan (for life) can hope, right???

The Halo Bulletin 7-10-14
There are only three weeks between E3 and the Rooster Teeth Expo, which means we always have to do a bit of hustlin’ (no, not that type of hustlin’) to get ready to come and see everyone in Austin. This year, we grabbed designers, producers, a Hoberman and threw them onto a panel, grabbed some in-house professional Halo players and threw ‘em on a truck with original Xbox consoles and TVs, brought Halo: The Master Chief Collection (for your eyes only), and we flew down some exclusive gear. A few weeks later, we were in Austin and ready to party with all of you.
Master Chief Selfie winner!
This past weekend during RTX, Halo Waypoint had a contest featuring people taking selfies with Master Chief.
The winner was Bryan Gregor @Banamyy for this shot of himself with a pile of Halo books and a Master Chief figure on top of them. Continue reading
