Halo Toy Review: Mattel Halo 6 inch figure Series 2 “Build-A-Figure” Imperial Grunt

Halo Toy PRE-view: Halo Wars 2 Frostraven!

So there has been just a scant few pics of the upcoming Frostraven set from Mega Construx online. Now we have an official listing for it on Amazon Canada.

Let’s have a look at the set!

For those unfamiliar, the Frostraven is comparable in size to a Pelican, but has attributes of the Falcon from Halo Reach. This flying beast rains down cold and freezes opponents! Before I go further, let me say that I’ve taken to calling the mech the Gruntbuster and not Goblin. It’s a take on the Hulkbuster armor from Iron Man. Yes, it doesn’t bust Grunts. More like it’s a Grunt that is doing the busting! So if I use this word, later in the review, you know why.

The box art shows the set in a dynamic action shot. One of the better ones in recent history, IMO.

Halo Toy Review: Mega Construx Warzone Wasp Strike

Sigh…okay, before I begin this review, let me say it is RARE that I give a negative review as I consider most design interpretations by Mega to be great for their Halo toy line. This unfortunately, is not one of those times… Read on to find out why.

Build Time: 45 minutes to sort, roughly 1 1/2 hours to build. Your time will vary as I take pictures along the way for the review.
