Once again, here we have one of the new Fireteam sets with the 2015 package design. Great shot on the front showing action, while the back shows the set again and the weapons included. The new style Halo 5 Rocket Launcher is included with this set. I like it. It’s a thick one-tube launcher instead of the traditional two-tube launcher we’ve always had prior to this set.<\/p>\n

The larger bag holds three smaller bags, which hold the pieces for three of the four spartans, and a view of the set pieces.\"MB<\/a><\/p>\n

Here are all the pieces sorted out. The mini figures have been assembled.\"MB<\/a><\/p>\n

This set has something we haven’t had before. It includes a build able ‘Wolf Spider’ turret.
\nFollowing the ‘Z’ arrow, you see how the 1\/4 circular parts are stacked to make the majority of the turret. The lid is assembled, including four 1\/4 round curved slope pieces. And lastly, the small turret is built.\u00a0\"MB<\/a><\/p>\n

Put this sections altogether and you get the completed Wolf Spider Turret.<\/p>\n

\"MB
\n<\/a>Now this is where I have a little bit of a critique for it. Look at the side that has the green panel and silver slope. The 90\u00b0 piece that connects to the turret doesn’t do so, so well. Normally In would say this might just be my set. However, seeing as I bought two of this set and have heard from other collectors that this pieces doesn’t connect properly with their sets either, then this is a known issue. There isn’t much of a way to fix this. If you have another 90 piece like the one in the set, you could try that. You certainly do not want to glue the pieces together.<\/p>\n

Below shows how the turret lid shuts. I thought it was just slightly confusing in the directions so I wanted to show it to you here. Here are the steps:
\nTop Left corner:<\/strong> Pivot those two double 2X1 slope pieces so that they are parallel to the surface.
\nTop Right corner:<\/strong> Where the turret attaches to the lid, pivot that down towards the hole that houses the turret.
\nBottom Left corner:<\/strong> Continue to slightly pivot the turret section as you close the lid. It WILL fit folks.
\nBottom Right corner:<\/strong> When done properly, the lid will easily close and you can display it like this.
\n\"MB
\n<\/a>Personally, I think the turret is much better displayed open as there is more detail to show!<\/p>\n

Here are the weapons in the set. Of note, at top left, is the new Halo 5 style Rocket Launcher.\u00a0\"MB<\/a><\/p>\n

Two of the ninifigures included are the Recruit<\/strong> and Warrior<\/strong> Spartans.\"MB<\/a><\/p>\n

The other two are the Enforcer<\/strong> and Soldier<\/strong> armored Spartans.\"MB<\/a><\/p>\n

Here are the ground pieces included, along with the Fireteam Taurus flag and a black fusion coil. This is the first time we’ve had a fusion color in black.\"MB<\/a><\/p>\n

And finally the full set together. I really like this set. The Wolf Spider turret was certainly a big draw for me to by a second \u00a0set of this 9despite the one piece not sticking so well). The additional land pieces are always a welcomed addition to my collection.\"MB<\/a><\/p>\n

Summary:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>The set has a short\u00a0build time. A good character selection as well as a varied amount of UNSC\u00a0weapons included. Three new things in this set help to round it out. Those being the build able Wolf Spider turret, the new Halo 5 Rocket Launcher, and the black fusion coil.<\/p>\n

Overall Rating:<\/strong>\u00a0I give this set 9 out for 10 medals.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0This set has great\u00a0value for $15. With the 4 figures amounting $13 of the $15. That leaves $2 to account for the rest of the pieces. Of the new UNSC Fireteams, this set has the most pieces in it at 152. That definitely holds true to the rule of 10 cents per piece.<\/p>\n

Why did I give it a 9.5 out of 10?<\/span><\/strong>
\n\u2022 The half point comes off due to 2 things. That 90\u00b0 piece that won’t stick right, as well as what I consider to be slightly confusing directions on how to close the turret lid. The latter part is easily overcome. Once you’ve done it right once, it becomes a non-issue.<\/p>\n

Even though this set doesn’t have 5 figures which used to be the norm, this still has excellent value! As I like Green color Spartan armor, I really was excited to get this set.<\/p>\n

Here’s a little bonus for you. If you get both Fireteam Taurus and Fireteam Rhino, you can mix and match colors. I did so to make one set of the spartans resemble both the Halo 3 Marine color armor and the Halo 4 Marine color armor. The ones with mostly green are the Halo 3 variants, while the mostly tan are the Halo 4 variants.<\/p>\n

I did this for fun to kind of blend these Spartans in with Marines for dioramas.\u00a0As you can see by the Mega Bloks Marines shown, the variants I made aren’t too far off.<\/p>\n

Do I recommend it?<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0YES, VERY much!\u00a0<\/span>This is\u00a0a great\u00a0set.\u00a0If you’ve read the full review, you know why I highly recommend this set. Worth multiple purchases, IMO!<\/strong><\/p>\n
