I can’t post any images, but I will pass along the info that I read in the article. You’ll just have to trust me that this is legit. I most definitely would NOT deliberately steer you wrong. If any of this were to change, between now and when the printed edition comes out, I’d be HIGHLY surprised.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is much discussed about the campaign. I do not want to spoil that part for you. So I’m not putting it in the article. If you reply either here or to my e-mail: sal@halofanforlife.com,\u00a0that you want to know, I will post it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The following contains MANY spoilers. Do NOT continue reading, unless you don’t mind knowing. You have been warned!!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Campaign<\/span><\/strong>
\n\u2022 The article states there is a trade-off of control between Chief and Locke when you play in campaign. This means you will play as both characters\u00a0at some point in the campaign. (Similar to how it was done in Halo 2 between Chief and the Arbiter)<\/strong>
\n\u2022 You will have 3 other members as part of your fireteam (FT).<\/strong>
\n\u2022 If you play solo, those FT members will be A.I.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 If you play co-op, the FT members will be the other players<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Co-op mode is now drop-in \/ drop-out! YES! Now if someone lags out, I won’t lose progress!!!!<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Chief and Blue team: Fred, Linda, and Kelly are considered AWOL by ONI. Locke and his FT are tasked with tracking them down.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 The construct we saw in the E3 2013 video is indeed a Forerunner Guardian.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Spartan IIs now permanently have jet pack-like thrusters<\/strong>
\n\u2022 YEA!!!!! Grunts, Jackals and Elites are speaking English again!!!!<\/strong>
\n\u2022 All spartan abilities in multiplayer are also available for campaign.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 New Fireteam order system. Think similar to Mass Effect’s commands for the team.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 No respawns! Instead it’s revive. You can heal downed teammates and they can heal you. Same if either solo or co-op.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 CORTANA IS BACK!!!! YES!!!! Hell’s YEAH!!!!! (unless it’s another A.I. posing as Cortana, but I don’t think so) Though Frank O’Conner calls it the ‘ghost of Cortana’.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Co-op spartans have their own special loadouts. For example, Linda always has a sniper rifle.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 All the HUDs have a unique look to them. (That will be fun to try out!)<\/strong>
\n\u2022 There are alternate routes you can take during missions. Blue team has to find them. FT Osiris has tech (Artemis Tracking System or ATS for short) built into their armor that points these alternate pathways out for them.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 There are things to collect in the campaign.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 More ways to finish objectives than to just kill all the enemies<\/strong>
\n\u2022 No split screen co-op (bummer)<\/strong>
\n\u2022 No XBOX Gold need to play co-op (AWESOME!)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Multiplayer<\/span><\/strong>
\n\u2022 20 maps at launch (some may be Forge maps)<\/strong>
\n\u2022 More than 15 additional downloadable maps by June 2016<\/strong>
\n\u2022 ALL of the maps will be FREE!!!<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Emipre (one of the Beta maps) has seen some changes to it.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Underwater map! First ever!! (We won’t be IN the water. We’ll be inside a downed spaceship, in the water)<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Some interactive map elements<\/strong>
\n\u2022 A new multiplayer mode will be revealed at E3.<\/strong><\/p>\n

MISC<\/span><\/strong>
\n\u2022 All new sounds for Halo 5 Guardians<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Joseph Staten is returning to write another Halo novel: ‘Halo: Shadow of Intent’ This releases December 7 this year (YES!!)<\/strong><\/p>\n

That is an awesome list of things to come. And there is a LOT more that has yet to be revealed. We will see more of these reveals during the summer conventions, leading up to the Halo 5 Guardians release.<\/span><\/p>\n
