Welcome back, ye stalwarts of story!\u00a0Last week we set the table(top) with a hefty helping of universe-building goodness\u00a0\u2013 including a full announce of\u00a0Halo: Ground Command<\/em>\u00a0from Spartan Games and 343 Industries \u2013 as well as an inside look into the very cool\u00a0Sins of the Prophets\u00a0<\/em>community creation. If you want to see more of what Spartan Games had on hand to showcase at the Salute 2016 show in the UK last weekend, be sure to check out this show floor recap from Beasts of War with one of the\u00a0Halo: Ground Command\u00a0<\/em>game designers, Spartan Games\u2019 own Derek Sinclair. There\u2019s some pretty awesome glimpses of what\u2019s in store for Halo tabletop fans in the near future, so definitely give it a look!\u00a0 As we let last week\u2019s efforts digest, this week will offer a lighter \u2013 but always tasty \u2013 portion of fiction-focused treats. \"canonfodder-4-22-16-5828c977f5634e87ae8ce1db5f67a9b9\"Earlier this week, Halo Waypoint user\u00a0eben gibon king<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0popped onto the\u00a0Universe forums<\/a>\u00a0to inquire about getting a closer look at the marksman armiger\u00a0Halo 5: Guardians\u00a0<\/em>players know better as the Soldier Sniper. These deadly Forerunner constructs were used primarily to augment Promethean forces in both the war with ancient humanity as well as in the Forerunner\u2019s fruitless fight against the Flood before the firing of the Array. When I sent the signal up to some of our tirelessly talented development team members, 343 Character Director Stephen Dyck answered the call and snagged some shots that might fit the fans\u2019 fancy. As these pesky Promethean adversaries are often only encountered at greater distances, this will hopefully help give curious fans a more detailed impression of their fierce and ancient visages. As an extra-special bonus, we\u2019ve gone ahead and provided full turnarounds for each of the Soldier armiger variants encountered in\u00a0Halo 5: Guardians<\/em>\u00a0for your hi-res perusing pleasure.
