Welcome back, Fodder faithful; can you believe it\u2019s been 75 issues already?\u00a0Last week we dropped new knowledge\u00a0on armor and weapons from the brand new Memories of Reach content release for\u00a0Halo 5: Guardians<\/em>, and dropped a deep lore bomb on the community\u2019s most curious by revealing the long-lost missing pages from Halsey\u2019s Personal Journal. \u00a0If you missed it then, get in there and rectify that situation, Spartan! As for this week, while I don\u2019t have any diamonds on hand \u2013 as is customary for such an anniversary \u2013 I do have something that many Halo lore lovers might consider almost as valuable: brand new info on some fabulous new fiction.Fracts of Life<\/strong><\/p>\n

Back in 2009, Halo fans around the world \u2013 including your humble messenger \u2013 devoured their respective copies of\u00a0Halo: Evolutions<\/em>. Showcasing \u201cessential tales of the Halo universe,\u201d the acclaimed anthology featured a wonderful collection of stories from a variety of passionate authors tackling a wide range of narrative corners. From \u201cHeadhunters\u201d and \u201cThe Return,\u201d to \u201cHuman Weakness\u201d and \u201cThe Impossible Life & Possible Death of Preston J Cole,\u201d many of these stories quickly began to rank among fans\u2019 favorites. BRANDING EXERCISE<\/h2>\n

One my personal favorite pastimes in the past few months has been taking the fight to the\u00a0Killer Instinct\u00a0<\/em>cast with my own customized Sangheili warriors. If you\u2019ve maybe been on the fence about taking the plunge with KI Season 3, our friends at Microsoft Studios announced last week that the Arbiter character is now available for individual purchase.<\/p>\n

For comic fans – and collectors especially – \u00a0this week marked the release of the\u00a0Halo Library Edition \u2013 Volume 1\u00a0<\/em>hardcover from 343 Industries and Dark Horse comics. The absolutely beautiful (and huge!) hardcover collects the full series of\u00a0Halo: Initiation\u00a0<\/em>(#1-3), and the first year of\u00a0Halo: Escalation\u00a0<\/em>(#1-12).<\/p>\n

The Library Edition also includes a gorgeous gallery and very cool behind-the-scenes commentary – the latter of which should interest fans of both the fiction as well as those who are just interested in the overall process.<\/p>\n

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH<\/strong><\/p>\n

So we noticed some confusion crop up in the community regarding some linguistic technicalities, specifically in response to a location mentioned within an upcoming REQ item in\u00a0Halo 5: Guardians.\u00a0<\/em>The location in question is Soirapt, one of the three moons of the Jiralhanae homeworld, Doisac.<\/p>\n

In an attempt to track down the source of the confusion, we arrived at some wonderful and beloved community-curated outlets that had the spelling incorrectly listed as “Solrapt,” citing the\u00a0Halo Bestiarum\u00a0<\/em>from\u00a0Halo 3\u00a0<\/em>as the source. We went to the original source files to double check, and the Bestiarum does actually have the correct spelling of\u00a0Soirapt,\u00a0<\/strong>as you see here.\u00a0Hope this helps clear up some of the confusion, and allows the community to adjust their records accordingly.<\/p>\n
