Unlike most of the other BoomCo Halo dart guns, the Carbine is enclosed in the box, with only the darts showing through a small cut-out on the front of the packaging.\"\"<\/a>

This is what you get in the box. Curiously, the back box art shows extra darts stored in the bottom of the Carbine. Indeed there are slots for more darts. However, extra darts were not included. That’s something I think should have been put in. (These darts are inexpensive to produce and could have easily been included within the box.)\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Here are the six darts inserted into the magazine. \u00a0Pretty much like all the other magazine\/dart assemblies of the other BoomCo guns.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Ugh…the one HUGE thing about this that is unappealing to me is the gaping hole on the top of the weapon. At rest, I really would have liked for there to have been a cover on this. Be that sliding cover or a swivel flap. The magazine itself is inserted into the top. As you fire the gun it works it’s way downward until you’ve fired all the darts.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

You can fire one shot at a time OR you can pump up the gun for multiple firing. That’s a cool feature!\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Evaluation
\n<\/strong><\/span>\u2022 The Carbine is a small size for adults and will feel normal for children.
\n\u2022 The packaging calls for this to be used by 8 years of age and older. I agree with that.
\n\u2022 It’s goo that this comes with a magazines and 6 darts. However, given that there are slots for 6 more darts in the bottom of the gun, I’d have liked those extras to have been included.
\n\u2022 At the normal retail price of $20, It’s priced about right, with exception to not having those extra darts as I mentioned above. I’m happy I got mine for $10 from TRU when it was on sale!<\/p>\n

Do I recommend this product? YES. Though laughably small, compared to the in-game version, it’s still a neat looking dart gun. The hole on the top barrel for the magazine to fit into is a little off putting to me. However, as this is a dart gun and not meant\u00a0to<\/span>\u00a0be an accurate depiction of the in-game model, it’s somewhat acceptable.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I will be using this and all the other BoomCo Halo dart guns at my annual LAN this year. Look for a video of that some time in August (2019). Hopefully I can get some fun footage showing the distance it can shoot!<\/p>\n
