\nEach of Mattel’s 12 inch Halo figure is in a tall slender box with the top half of the figure showing through a window. Several of the other figures are shown on the back of the box.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In the box you get Locke and a Battle Rifle.

Here’s a close-up of Locke’s Torso\/Head. There’s a lot of detail going on there!\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Locke is one of the few 12 inch Mattel figures to have some printing on it. In this case, it’s the yellow graphic on his helmet. I’m glad they didn’t skip over this. It’s a very identifiable mark of Locke’s armor.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Here is Locke in orthogonal views. The figure is a little stretched height-wise. This the only thing I’m disappointed with with Mattel’s 12 inch Halo figs. I’d rather they be bulkier and not stretched tall. Since they are very affordable toys however, I’m willing to overlook that.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The articulation of the 12 inch Mattel figures in comparison to the 6 inch figures is less. The 12 inch figures cost less than half of the 6 inch ones. Because of this, less articulation is acceptable.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Though the 12 inch Mattel Halo figures have less articulation than their 6 inch counterparts, they can still be put into some cool poses, as seen below.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Evaluation<\/strong><\/span>
\nSculpt:\u00a0<\/strong>Good, though the figure is stretched to fit the box and is compressed at the torso to be thinner than it’s in-game model. 9 of 10 medals!<\/strong>
\nArticulation: <\/strong>While somewhat limited, there’s enough to get the figure into some cool poses. Articulated ankles would have really helped with this (and all of the other Mattel 12 inch figures). However, I’m keenly aware that the point of these figs is to put affordable toys into the hands of kids and collectors alike. 8 out of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nPaint Application:\u00a0<\/strong>Of all of the 12 inch Mattel figures I’ve collected so far, Locke is one of a rare few to have more than two colors for the armor. Having that light steely kind of blue at the abdomen really helps to make the figure ‘pop’. 8.5 of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nAccessories: <\/strong>Locke comes with a Battle Rifle. It’s a good sculpt and accurate to the game.\u00a09.5 out of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nPlayability:<\/strong>\u00a0This is marked 4 years and older. Given the large size of the figure and accessory, I agree with that. However, the nature of the toy itself, being modeled after a mature rated game, is better suited for older children, in my opinion. I suggest 8 years minimum. For kids it definitely makes for a fun toy. If you’re an adult collector, it looks good on display, whether in or out of the box. 8\u00a0of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nOverall:<\/strong> 43 medals out of a total 50 medals.\u00a0<\/strong>Affordability here is KEY.<\/p>\n

Do I recommend this product? Yes. As mentioned above, Locke has a few added details not normally found with the other Mattel 12 inch figures. Those being the printed graphic on the helmet as well as the third color of the armor. Locke is one of the best when it comes to accuracy for the 12 inch figures.\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Though the 12 inch Mattel Halo figures are stretched to meet that height and a bit thin front to back, they are still fun toys. They would be great for kids to play with and make for nice display figures for collectors. The cost is very low for these (again I only paid $8.44 for mine from\u00a0Was Mart), which is a bonus!<\/span><\/p>\n
