The Promethean Officer is seen holding the unassembled Splinter Turret through the window. It’s back armor pieces is off to the side. The Build-A-Figure Grunt Ultra arms are in plain view. This is a departure from the series previously. The build-a-figure pieces had always been obscured by graphics on the front of the box. The back shows all of the contents, as well as the other figures in Series 2. It also shows the corresponding parts for the Build-A-Figure Grunt.\"\"<\/a>
\nSeen left to right on the back for the figures in series 2 are:
\nODST, Spartan Tanaka, Elite Warrior, Master Chief (a direct repackage from series 1, but now with the new Grunt build-a-figure piece), Promethean Officer, Atriox (also a direct repackage, but with the Grunt build-a-figure piece).<\/p>\n

NOTE: <\/strong><\/span>There were two other figures shown to be in this wave. A Red Spartan Achilles and an Orange Spartan Mark VI.

\nAlong with these, there were yet two MORE figures shown in earlier press releases, however, the quality of the picture is low. Below is the best quality I’ve been able to find thus far. A Promethean with a Binary Rifle and a Spartan EOD.

\nAgain, apologies for the small pic there. It’s the best I could get…so far.<\/p>\n

ADDENDUM 11\/30\/18!<\/strong><\/span> I now have a better pic of the Black and Orange Spartan seen above. It’s an EOD, not a Recruit as I had mistakingly posted before. Plus, it comes with an extra CQB helmet!

As well, I can now CONFIRM the EOD\/CQB, Achilles and Orange Spartan Mark VI are being released! No official word yet on if the Promethean Warrior shown in the tiny pic will be released.

Moving on…<\/strong>
\nHere’s the plastic tray with the figure, back armor part, accessories, build-a-figure Grunt parts and the instruction manual. The instruction manual is usually sitting behind the yellow cardboard insert (seen through the window above). Be sure to look there to find it.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Here is the insert sheet opened to show assembly of various parts.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The articulation of the figure is very good! You can put the figure into a many poses. You’ll see some of those later in the article.\u00a0As stated above, the Promethean Officer has 3 less jointed areas. Gone are the Torso (makes sense, given the design of the character), Bicep (again, given the sculpt, makes sense) and Thigh (yet again making sense due to sculpt).\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Each figure from series 2 includes a Build-a-Figure piece of the Grunt Ultra. The Promethean Officer gives you TWO pieces, both the left and right arms!
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As for accessories, there are two plastic pins (as seen in the small plastic bag below). There are no holes in the figure for using those pins. So hold onto them for other figures in case you lose them. Here also is the Splinter Turret with Light Shield. I am IMMENSELY happy this was made into toy form. Definitely a very unique weapon not often seen in Halo 5.\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Here the turret is assembled.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The figure comes with a small back plate, sometimes referred to wings, though they aren’t used for that purpose. \u00a0I like the inner orange and yellow detail. However, they are lost when the piece is put onto the figure.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As you can see there are two large holes for the back wing to be inserted into.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Promethean Officer has some really nice yellow and orange-gold piping detail.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I especially like the translucent orange parts on the back side of the thighs. Nice touch, Mattel!\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The orthogonal views give you a much better look at the overall figure with it’s hard angles.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Promethean Officer can easily hold the Splinter Turret. I have yet to see if other figures can hold it. I’ll have to check that out and report it back here on the blog at a later date.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Evaluation<\/strong><\/span>
\nSculpt:\u00a0<\/strong>Excellent\u00a010 of 10 medals!<\/strong>
\nArticulation:\u00a0<\/strong>This figure has articulation that now fairly standard for Mattel Halo figures, but for a few missing per sculpt of the figure.\u00a08.5 out of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nPaint Application:\u00a0<\/strong>The yellow and gold pinstripes standout. Even though it’s not a paint application, I really like the translucent orange parts on the back of the thighs. 9<\/strong>\u00a0of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nAccessories: <\/strong>The figure set includes large Splinter Turret with light shield. 10\u00a0out of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nPlayability:<\/strong>\u00a0Lots of posing possibilities. What you’ve seen in the article is only a very small sampling of poses this figure can accomplish.\u00a09 of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nOverall:<\/strong> 47.5 medals out of a total 50 medals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do I recommend this product? Absolutely! This is a rare Promethean in the Mattel line and a FIRST for the Officer in ANY Halo toy line!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
