While the box says this is a Spartan Locus, in actuality, it’s Argus armor, with a Locus helmet attached. An Argus helmet is also included, if you so choose.
\nThis is not a deterrent though folks. This is a VERY cool looking figure regardless of which helmet you choose to have on the figure. Since I already have the Linda figure and I think the Locus is just an awesome helmet, I chose to keep that on it.<\/p>\n

The box has a large window on the front to display the figure. Instead of a build-a-figure piece, it has an extra different helmet. On the back it shows the different armor pieces and other figures from the first wave of Mattel Halo action figures.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Inside the box is an instruction manual that shows how the armor fits as well as the weapons placement. This is hidden behind the cardboard insert, so be sure to look for it.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Below is all of the armor taken off of the figure, including the extra Argus helmet.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The figure itself is female. No doubt this is a carry over from the Linda figure as it uses the same armor.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The next few pics are of the detail of the armor.<\/p>\n

The Locus helmet has a LOT of stuff going on. So much great detail in both the sculpt and paint application. Note how the helmet has a resemblance to a skull. That’s intentional.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The torso armor has a nice paint application to it. Note the notched collar. Also, the braille numbers just under the collar. Again, that’s a carry over from Linda.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The thigh armor has a cool pattern on it as well. When put together, it all makes for a striking looking spartan.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Argus helmet as well. (Yes, I temporarily mounted it on top of a pencil for thiese shots.)\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The accessoires include a BoomCo skinned Assault Rifle and a basic magnum, along with two pins for attaching to the figure.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As with all Mattel figures, this one is chock full of artiuculation. Lots of poseability here!\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This series of shots shows the back of the figure, pin in the back, and the AR attached to the pin for storage.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The figure can easily hold the magnum.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Likewise, it can hold the AR very well. As you can see here, this pose makes it look like the Spartan is aiming down sights.

\nSculpt:\u00a0<\/strong>Excellent\u00a010 of 10 medals!<\/strong>
\nArticulation:\u00a0<\/strong>This figure has articulation that is standard for Mattel Halo figures. Superb!\u00a010 out of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nPaint Application:\u00a0<\/strong>The red with black and white detail really make this figure pop! It’s triking and will stand out among any collection. That’s a good thing, IMO.\u00a010\u00a0of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nAccessories: <\/strong>The figure set includes an AR and a Magnum as well as an extra helmet.\u00a010 out of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nPlayability:<\/strong>\u00a0Lots of posing possibilities. What you’ve seen in the article is only a very small sampling of poses this figure can accomplish.\u00a010 of 10 medals<\/strong>
\nOverall:<\/strong> 50 medals out of a total 50 medals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do I recommend this product? Most definitely! As one of the last Mattel Halo figures, this one really delivers on looks. Just a fun figure to own for it’s uniqueness, even though it’s not a named character.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
