The front of the package shows the set in a fun action shot. The back displays some of the action features as well as alternate build.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the box you get an instruction manual, 4 numbered bags and a “MCX” bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are the contents of the MCX Bag. Yes, you have to build the figures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a few pieces with printing on them.
Below is the center console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next is one of the machine gun guards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and lastly for printed pieces, this small 1×1 tile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay, let’s get into the build, shall we?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bag 1 and it’s contents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uh-Oh, right from the get-go, I had a small issue. One of the pieces had been warped and broken. Thankfully, I have a lot of extra parts. Though it doesn’t match in color, for now, I’m using the green 1X6 to complete the build. I’ll be calling Mega for the replacement part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are four of those 1×6 plates. I elected to swap out the one circled as it’s the least visible when the build is complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We start as we generally do with Warthog build and build the body. This one however is far different from ones previously. Gone are the long bloks in the center. Instead they are replaced with long sort-of step shaped pieces (seen in the MCX bag contents pic). These allow for the center console to be built more correctly to the in-game appearance. A nice detail and design choice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the rear section of the Warthog is built. Temporary pieces (which include two of the figure stands) are put in place for stability, if you are building on a flat surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, part of the front is built up and has temporary pieces put in place as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More of the front is built, with some of the engine and armor pieces put in place. I’m liking that engine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bag 3 and it’s contents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see here, this bag includes a lot of “dog bone” clips as well as a bunch of copper pins. Those will be used in the new suspension system for the Warthog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More of the seating area and center console are built Oooh, rich Corinthian leather! (you younger folks will have to look that one up, LOL)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plenty of gas cans to keep the Warthog moving!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

So here is what we have so far. It’s looking VERY Warthog-like. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now we move on to the brand new suspension system!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both front and back are built the same. Each having the main blok with dog clips attached and side sections, with copper pins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is one set of the completed suspension. It’s BEEFY!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A close-up of the main blok shows where the rubber band is put in place that allows for the bounce in the suspension. The band is place behind this side of dog bone clips. You may find this step a little tricky at first. Don’t fret, that band is indeed supposed to go there and fits perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
