Now we take a look at concept art for each of the 9 maps.<\/p>\n<p>First coming in December the first of three packs is <em><strong>Crimson<\/strong><\/em> pack with the following three maps:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wreckage<\/strong>:\u00a0a blend of claustrophobic spaces and dangerous exposures<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/WreckagePerdition-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4095\" title=\"Wreckage:Perdition-2\" src=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/WreckagePerdition-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"935\" height=\"648\" srcset=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/WreckagePerdition-2.png 935w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/WreckagePerdition-2-300x207.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 935px) 100vw, 935px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Harvest<\/strong>: You\u00a0venture into the human colony environs of the planet<br \/>\nOf note this is the first planet documented as having had combat with the Covenant.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Harvest.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4096\" title=\"Harvest\" src=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Harvest-1024x574.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Harvest-1024x574.png 1024w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Harvest-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Harvest.png 1671w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If Harvest the map is anything like this concept it looks to be a BTB map. Just look at the wide range and multilevel bridges between the ravine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shatter<\/strong>: Explore a human foray on an alien moon<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Shatter.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4097\" title=\"Shatter\" src=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Shatter-1024x335.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"209\" srcset=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Shatter-1024x335.png 1024w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Shatter-300x98.png 300w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Shatter.png 1674w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This map looks somewhat spooky and for that I can see it being a good FLOOD infection map depending on it&#8217;s final size. Also looks good for small objective gametypes.<\/p>\n<p>The second of the map packs is <em><strong>Majestic<\/strong><\/em> and is due in February 2013. It will bring us the following three maps:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Landfall<\/strong>:\u00a0emphasis is on infantry battles against a glittering ocean on a distant world<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Landfall.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4098\" title=\"Landfall\" src=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Landfall-1024x426.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Landfall-1024x426.png 1024w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Landfall-300x125.png 300w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Landfall.png 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now wouldn&#8217;t it just be great if we finally got some type of watercraft?? Hmmmm. This map would be perfect for it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monolith<\/strong>:\u00a0exposes you to the naked vacuum of space \u2014 and the firepower of opposing teams<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Monolith.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4099\" title=\"Monolith\" src=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Monolith-1024x564.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Monolith-1024x564.png 1024w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Monolith-300x165.png 300w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Monolith.png 1679w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Just an amazing looking concept. I wonder what the final map will look like. Is that a huge kill ball in the middle? Could it be another Cryptum? We&#8217;ll have to wait until February of next year to find out (or unless 343 tells us before hand).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skyline<\/strong>:\u00a0distinct industrial feel provides new challenges in somewhat familiar, but occasionally confined spaces<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Skyline.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4100\" title=\"Skyline\" src=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Skyline-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Skyline-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Skyline-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Skyline.png 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The third map pack is <em><strong>Castle<\/strong><\/em>. I wonder if that&#8217;s a reference to Castle base on Reach, or possibly for Nathan Fillion&#8217;s TV series. You know he&#8217;s a HUGE Halo fan. LOL. This map pack comes out in April of 2013. Yikes, so far away&#8230; It will bring us:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daybreak<\/strong>:\u00a0set in a military facility against the backdrop of an idyllic mountain range<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Daybreak.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4101\" title=\"Daybreak\" src=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Daybreak-1024x552.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Daybreak-1024x552.png 1024w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Daybreak-300x161.png 300w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Daybreak.png 1627w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I like the concept pic. Though the holes in the mountains are strange. Then again, this is an alien world, so not all of the same rules apply there as on Earth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outcast<\/strong>:\u00a0plunges you into the warrens, canyons and arches of an alien edifice<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Outcast.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4102\" title=\"Outcast\" src=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Outcast-1024x595.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Outcast-1024x595.png 1024w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Outcast-300x174.png 300w, https:\/\/halofanforlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Outcast.png 1582w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s something I really like about this concept pic. I can&#8217;t quite put my finger on it. \u00a0Maybe the relative confined spaces yet with enough room for larger scale combat.
