Read on!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(Reposted from HaloWaypoint) with my commentary along the way&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This Monday\u2019s Matchmaking Update welcomes the long awaited Halo 4 Weapon Tuning Update as well as other Matchmaking updates. Starting today, several of Halo 4\u2019s multiplayer weapons have been slightly tuned to provide optimal Matchmaking experiences. To see the full details of this update and how each weapon has changed, check out\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.halowaypoint.com\/Headlines\/post\/2013\/05\/29\/The-Halo-Bulletin-52913.aspx\">last week\u2019s Halo Bulletin.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to weapon tuning, the following updates have also been applied to Matchmaking:<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cSlayer Pro\u201d game mode in Big Team Infinity Slayer and Infinity Slayer now has an Assault Rifle loadout. Also, the \u201cGlobal Skill searching,\u201d or CSR matching duration, has been increased once again for all playlists. This increase will help ensure that Matchmaking is primarily searching for both teammates and opponents at your per-playlist CSR level.<\/p>\n<p>The Majestic DLC playlist has returned as the \u201cfeatured DLC\u201d playlist. We will continue to offer a variety of DLC maps in this slot, and may update the game types, maps, and even team sizes moving forward to keep DLC content fresh and available in Halo 4 Matchmaking. The Community Forge Island playlist has been retired. \u00a0In Capture The Flag, the overtime period has been increased from one minute to two minutes in order to allow for even more nail-biting, and \u201cbig party matching\u201d has been turned on, which ensures that parties of three or more will get matched with parties of three or more. In King of the Hill, the hill point limit has been increased from 25 to 50, and the score to win has been increased from 150 points to 250 points to provide more control-based game play.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, the multiplayer design team has been updating all of Halo 4\u2019s maps with new weapon (ordnance) locations, new weapon drops, updated starting, vehicle, and objective spawns, and even new Forge objects to diversify and balance gameplay. And how can it be below it? Unless it&#8217;s not directly below it.<br \/>\nTwin Sniper rifles placed on the corners of the map<br \/>\nNeedlers replace the frags in the center room in the corners<br \/>\nAdjusted cover and line of sight in the top hallways to help attackers in objective modes<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><strong>HFFL: <\/strong><\/span>Nice!<strong><\/p>\n<p>Complex<\/strong><br \/>\nMoved spawns farther apart and in proper \u201cbases\u201d<br \/>\nFlags are now moved to their respective \u201cbases\u201d<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">HFFL:<\/span> <\/strong>About damn time!<br \/>\nRed team Sniper rifle moved to the 2nd floor of their \u201cbase\u201d<br \/>\nRocket Launcher replaces Sword in the courtyard<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">HFFL:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>Awe yeah!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exile<\/strong><br \/>\nMantis replaces Scorpion and placed equidistant from both team spawns<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">HFFL:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>WHAT?! Now how in the frag am I supposed to get the Scorpion commendation. BAD UPDATE HERE!!!!<br \/>\nLaser spawns in center cave<br \/>\nRailgun is in front of each team spawn replaces SAW<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">HFFL:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>Nice!<br \/>\nRemoved Gauss Hog and replaced with Rocket Hogs for each team<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exile CTF<\/strong><br \/>\nTeam spawns and flags pushed back into their respective \u201cbases\u201d<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">HFFL:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>Makes the MOST sense!<br \/>\nSticky Det spawns in Banshee hangar (no Banshee)<br \/>\nNo team Warthogs<br \/>\nGauss Hog spawns in the center of the map and is flipped onto its side<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">HFFL:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>BOO! This is going to make this map SO one sided!<br \/>\nSAW in front of each team spawn<br \/>\nBeam rifle spawns in the cave over by the Scorpion bay<\/p>\n<p><strong>Haven<\/strong><br \/>\nRotated team spawns 90 degrees to oppose each other on the opposite axis found currently in matchmaking<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">HFFL:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>Thanks, that&#8217;s SO much better!<br \/>\nSword spawns in the upper center<br \/>\nConcussion rifle spawns next to closed ramp<br \/>\nSniper rifle spawns next to open ramp<br \/>\nLifts are now at the drop downs to allow more flow to the upper level<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">HFFL:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>Good move here for people who don&#8217;t use Jet Pack.<br \/>\nColored lighting to distinguish player\/map orientation<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">HFFL:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>VERY good move!<br \/>\nMiscellaneous grenades placed around the map<strong><\/p>\n<p>Landfall<\/strong><br \/>\nMoved spawns and flags to opposite corners of the map. That&#8217;s one of the ONLY things that made this map FUN! Damn&#8230;<br \/>\nSword is alone at low center<br \/>\nFuel Rod spawns on the side of the map equidistant from the team spawns<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vortex<br \/>\n<\/strong>Gauss Hog at each team spawn<br \/>\nMantis at each team spawn<br \/>\nBanshee low center equidistant from team spawns<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><strong>HFFL:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Oh this map just got a WHOLE lot more fun! (X3!)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><strong>HFFL: <\/strong><\/span>So for the most part, many of the changes I agree with and look forward to utilizing. A couple kind of irk me, especially the removal of the InCin on Solace. But otherwise, some pretty solid changes or ones that will make maps MORE fun, especially by vehicle combat.
