While we were promised something &#8220;Mega&#8221; at SDCC, the event left us wondering what the heck the &#8220;Mega&#8221; surprise was. Was it the release of Halo: Spartan Assault? Was it the Mega Bloks full sized Promethean Knight? Also, the map shown for both the Prefect and Ricochet&#8230;is that Vertigo? If so, it&#8217;s from an angle I&#8217;ve not seen before. Makes me curious if this is a different map? I really don&#8217;t recall seeing these views in any of the several video flythroughs that I&#8217;ve watched.<\/p>\n<p>Next up in the Bulletin is a gallery of the SDCC Champions Bundle Competition.<\/p>\n<p>Next is an update on the Halo 4 Global Championship tourney. The upcoming week will likely be the most competitive because the gameplay is focused on precision rifle usage and map control, with motion tracker enabled and personal ordnance disabled. The map variants for this week will be identical to week 1: Adrift, Abandon, Solace, Haven, Monolith, Skyline, and Landfall. Both game types will be available across the maps, with identical initial ordnance and on-map weapon locations. Best of luck to all week 3 competitors, and enjoy your Double XP!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Here are the other weekly playlist updates:<\/p>\n<p>In Spartan Ops, we are offering a selection of Covenant enemy themed missions:<br \/>\nEpisode 1, Mission 1: Land Grab<br \/>\nEpisode 1, Mission 2: Sniper Alley<br \/>\nEpisode 2, Mission 2: For Science<br \/>\nEpisode 2, Mission 3: Hacksaw<br \/>\nEpisode 2, Mission 4: Pelican Down<\/p>\n<p>Lockdown in the Dominion playlist has been updated with several changes. To allow for an optimized attack \/ defend dynamic, motion tracker has been disabled, and auto-turrets and shield doors have been removed. These updates will make it more difficult to defend a base, and result in more back-and-forth style gameplay. Lastly, we\u2019ve also made some updates to Legendary Slayer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On Haven, the Rocket Launcher is now updated to have one spare clip instead of two.<\/li>\n<li>On Adrift, the Spartan Lasers have been replaced by Sniper Rifles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Lastly as ever, the bulletin ends with a Screenshot Spotlight.
