And on with the pics! (Click pics to make BIGGER)

The front of the box shows most of the contents in a series of plastic bubbles. (There are more things hidden behind the bottom piece of cardboard.) The back of the card shows some more of the contents and their names.

You can see in this pic, behind the small cardboard at the bottom of the package, sit a lot more pieces. Don’t forget those!

Once you remove the plastic bubble from the card, this is what you have.

Below are the contents of the small plastic bags sorted out. A couple of crate pieces, shoulder armor, back armor, weapons and figure stands.

Here is the parts list for this set and how many of each.

Let’s have a look at the muzzle flashes. There are two types. A large “splash” flash and a pointed conical one. As you can see, you can choose to put just one on the end of a gun or combine them for more effect.

There are several attachments. Below shows: standard attachment, silencer, small scope, box scope

Those attachments work on the Bulldog as well, though I do not know if they do in the game. No attachment, silencer, small scope, box scope

Okay, let’s have a look at the figures.

First is the more black armored Spartan. This first graphic is taken directly from Mega’s website.

Orthogonal views of the Black armored Spartan.

Now the computer generated graphic from Mega of the more Yellow armored Spartan. Some nice paint application here with the metallic blue ammo cartridges.

And orthogonal views of the yellow Spartan.

In this set we also have a Silver armored Brute. He’s Banished, but doesn’t have the red color normally associated with Atriox’s Banished from halo Wars 2.
Note: The computer generated graphic (seen below) is different from what’s in the package. The chest armor on the figure, in the package, is leathery brown as is the full cod piece. I much would have preferred the silver chest. Might have to paint mine. Hmmm.

And ortho views of the Brute

I got 3 of this set so I could put on each set of armor on the figures. It features a really good array of armor to select from!

You can mix and match as you’d like. Perhaps you want all black armor instead of a mix of colors. You can do that! Same with all yellow Spartans.

Below shows all the figs, brutes included, from the three sets I got.

Summary: A great armor set. LOTS of armor pieces to choose from.No build time really here. Excellent assortment of armor.

Overall Rating: I give this set 9.5 out of 10 medals.
Why did I give it a 9.5 out of 10?

• The combinations of armor here are quite a lot. You’re going to have left over armor. But that’s a GREAT thing. That means, you can add those parts to OTHER Spartans.
• I like the color selection of Black and Yellow.
• My only small knock to this is the difference between what is shown on Mega’s site and what we actually got. I do wish the chest armor was silver as it looks a lot better, IMO. But just a half point off for that.

Here’s my opinion on the break down of the value of this set. (In US dollars)
• Each figure with a weapon and a stand is worth $3.50. Total $10.50
• Each extra helmet (4) I value at 50 cents for a total of $2
• Each shoulder armor piece (8) I place at 25 cents each for a total of $2
• Each Torso Front (2) I place at 50 cents each for $1
• Each Torso Back (2) I put at 25 cents each for 50 cents
• Banished Crate 50 cents
• Muzzle flashes all four pieces total $1
• x4 Frag grenades, 25 cents each for a total of $1
TOTAL: $18.50 (before tax and in U.S. dollars)

Given that the set costs $15 US before tax, I find this set above value.

Do I recommend it?  YES! If you’re looking for a good bit of customization, this is a great set to have. If you’re a fan of either color armor, again more reason to get the set.
