HFFL’s Swag store officially open!

You can find the link in the menu bar above, as well you can check out the store here. I’ll be updating this as I go along. For now, it’s rather bare bones… All for now just have the HFFL logo.

If there is something you’d like to see as swag in the store, let me know and if it’s available, I’ll add it. I’m thinking about adding the Halo 4 poster I did as swag. Here’s that poster (the actual one will be high resolution):

This is just something minimal I’m doing to help support the cost of the site. If any of you do order something, PLEASE send me a pic with you and the swag and I’ll be more than happy to post it on the blog.

Happy Halodays contest results!

Well, we had some really great entries for the contest. I’ll admit, I had a hard time choosing which ones to win.

I’ve released the entries to the contest in the original article here. (one exception was for a subscriber who posted it to the wrong article…I made an exception there and reposted it for him in the correct article.) His post is released in the article he submitted it under-here.

Since I had such a hard time deciding on the winners, EVERYONE who submitted an entry is going to get something! Halo 4 War Games weekly challenges: 12-24/31-12

Alright! This is the week I complete the campaign Legendary Solo for the challenge. I could have done it last week as I can’t earn any more credits since I hit SR130. However, since I’ve been doing one mission a week, why break that now right? Of course I’ve finished the game solo (normal) and co-op (legendary).

Spartan Ops challenges are easy of course. War Games…hmm, 18 in one match? Okay, doable. Infinity Challenge isn’t too bad. 200 secondary kills. Looks like plenty of Flood/Swat (using magnums) for me this week.

Now I need to get back to deliberating on the Halodays contest. Still having a hard time deciding which ones will be the winners.

McFarlane Forward unto Dawn Master Chief VS Hunter resin statue!

I want to thank readers “Will” and “James” for offering pics of their respective statues. Turns out, I didn’t need them after all…I was surprised beyond belief to receive one. The detail on how I received this will remain a secret (let the conspiracies begin…lol). Point is, I got this from UPS the other day and WOW is it a beauty!

Without further ado, here are the pics!

See, what did I tell you? Just AWESOME. Detailing is amazing, paint applications is superb. The heft of the piece is apparent. Given the VERY limited nature of this piece, I’m EXTREMELY happy to have one.

This is sure to be a Holy Grail of Halo. There are already people selling these on eBay for upwards of $700 and people are buying them for that much. WOW… I’m NEVER going to sell mine. If I had to sell off my collection, this would be one of two pieces I would forever keep.

I give this an emphatic 10 out of 10 medals. Even with the slight issue of two of the spikes, it’s still nearly perfect and for that it deserves a review score reflecting that. (Oh, I forgot to note that the two top front spikes aren’t as securely fastened as the others since they do not have metal pins to keep them in place like the other spikes do.)

Halo 4 War Games daily challenges: 12-23-12

Okay, these two are actually easy. If the 12 kills aren’t in one game, and just cumulative, then just play enough to get it. The other is easy. Play Swat or Infinity Slayer as that has the lowest team number count. This usually is pretty easy without having to hunt each person down specifically. So I wouldn’t worry about it too much during gameplay.
