On Sunday, March 29, 2015, two Halo 5 Guardians commercials aired during the season finale of the Walking Dead. The first featured Locke, while the latter featured Master Chief. Both were near exact in shot and sequence, but with very different dialog. These were part of the beginning of the HUNTtheTRUTH campaign, leading up to Halo 5.
In this podcast, my co-host Zach and I discuss those two commercials at length comparing scenes. In fact, if you want to follow along with what were talking about in a visual manner, open up this link in another window.
Beyond this, we talk more about the HUNTtheTRUTHÂ campaign. Specifically Episode 1: A Hairline Fracture of the Benjamin Giraud reports.
After this we discuss the newly amounted Halo Online game.

Oh, I should note, my microphone wasn’t picking up my voice as well the whole time. So the volume of my voice seems to drop a little, then raise back up. Apologies on that. I’ll be looking into that issue to fix this for the next podcast.

We recorded this shortly after the reveal of the Master Chief collection. It would have been done LIVE, but I had some technical issues. Those being I had WAY too many windows open. 4 live streams, the blog, twitter, Waypoint and more….My computer just couldn’t handle all the Halo goodness. The program I use to record crashed, so we had to record after. Unfortunately that meant that Martin one of my co-hosts wouldn’t be on as it was already about 2am his time in Australia.
However, my co-host and long-time friend Zach was with me. We talk for about 45 minutes regarding the Master Chief Collection. Here is is about 5 hours after and I’ve got SO much more to talk about. But I’ve left that to blog articles, preceding this one and forthcoming.

We just recorded a podcast two days ago…Yet here we are again. This time Martin and I (well mostly me) talk about my theories about the new character as well as the location of the concept art.
You’ll forgive me that my voice might sour a little muted. With all of the talking I did with other fans about Halo 5 Guardians in the past two days, my throat has become a little irritated. But I just HAD to get these theories out to you to listen too and hopefully form theories for yourself.
Fore-warning…a bit into this episode, my dog passed gas…I had to turn the fan on, so it may be a little hard to hear for a couple of minutes. (Apologies on that, and YES IT WAS MY DOG! lol)

We’ve not had a podcast in a month. Truthfully, there wasn’t much exciting news to report and repeating the Halo bulletin every week when I already do a synopsis of it on the blog is redundant. Anyone can reread the bulletin, so I’ve decided I won’t do that and only focus are the real news worthy topics.
In the episode Martin and I talk about Spartan Assault being released for the One and the 360, but at different times. We briefly talk about the One’s graphics, some of our favorite types of covenant, the new Dark Horse Halo comic book and more.

This week’s podcast is a doozy. I partnered up with Robowski from Post Game Carnage Report to bring a multi/simulcast of our podcasts. As well, my co-host Zach live streamed it on his twitch channel ( twitch.tv/thehaloarray ). I’m proud to say from now on, the Spirit of Fire podcast will be live streamed on Zach’s channel, so you good readers/listeners can chime in through the chatbox. We may even give out prizes in the near future through the stream…
Also, this week marks the Spirit of Fire being put onto iTunes. So if you don’t want to listen below or download from the blog, you can now go and subscribe HERE to listen on iTunes!
Anyway, so we teamed up and also invited others to join in. Robowski brought along two of his co-horts. Er co-hosts…LOL. I of course brought in Zach. Robowski invited Justin Bryce from Drunken Halo Podcast and I invited in Addicted Cha0s from HaloDieHards.net.
Not knowing the software I use to record the podcasts had a limit, this episode had to be broken down into two parts. The first part (here) is just a smidge over 3 hour, 20 minutes long, with this second part being 1 hour 4 minutes long.
Myself and Robowski take turns bringing up topics of discussion as well as asking our panel to respond to the topics. We jump all over from topic to topic talking about Halo 4.
Now before you listen, I want to make clear, this will for all intents and purposes be the last time I criticize Halo 4 in a podcast. Well, at least as a major portion of the podcast. After this marathon multi-cast, I kind of grew tired of saying the same stuff over and over and am about fed up with 343’s non-response… So from now on, we’re just going to report Halo as it is and not as we wish/want it to be. That is…until Halo 5 comes out!

What is good in Halo 4?
Campaign – Good story. Nice graphics, great sound.
Multiplayer – Lots of maps within the first 6 months of release.
Spartan Ops – A great additional campaign as seen through your multiplayer spartan’s eyes. 15 maps over the course of all 10 episodes.

When I first started this up earlier today, I immediately felt a rush. Call it nostalgia if you want. All I know is that it felt good. Like I was ‘back home’ again. While I thoroughly enjoyed ODST and Reach, Halo 3 for me was the BEST of all the Halo games to date. I’m going to spend some hours playing the campaign again AND taking screenshots in theater.
