This is a ship fans have definitely been asking for for awhile. It’s one of the few remaining from Halo Wars for which Mega originally had the license for, before they got the complete license for all of Halo.
These two graphics are direct from the official HaloWars.com website. First this in-game version.
Next a concept piece of artwork:
Unfortunately, all but one of my full ship pics were blurry. We were in a hurry as the reps only had a few minutes to show us everything and this was the last set we went to. So this review will be scant on pics showing he full ship model. I do have a few close-ups of the features as well as Agent Locke. Read on!

Okay, on with the pics!
This set is just awesome. I know I say that a lot. And I mean it! This set clocks in around 800 pieces and will retail for right around $80.
The set comes with three figures. Spartan Locke, a Green UNSC Pilot, and another Spartan. (I didn’t get a good shot of the other Spartan, apologies, again we were being rushed out by this time.)
There is a space in the middle of the ship that you access through a top hatch that you can put figures into.
Below shows a newly designed cockpit piece. This looks slick!
For those wondering, there are no rockets on the side. Instead we have these flat panels to show were they would have been. Slightly disappointing, but I’m okay with it considering it does have other features and the fact that the Vulture is even being made.
There is a rotating missile launcher near the back of the ship.
Not shown close-up are the under side gun turrets. These also rotate.
Now for Spartan Locke!
This is a good looking figure. I’m glad that 343 went with a steel color for Locke. It translates well as a Mega Blok figure. Don’t you think?
Note the new rifle. This will appear in Halo 5 Guardians.
Again, apologies for the scant few pics on this one. In person, this ship looks fantastic! For me, it’s a MUST buy!
Are you a fan of the Vulture? Will you be picking up this set?

From a couple of angles it appears hollow underneath the missile bays. Does the top open at all? Having a storage bay or something inside would be a nice touch , and open it up to customizing. I think I would like to put the missile bays on hinges and figure out something underneath for actual missiles if it’s possible.
Ah yes, I should have mentioned this. It does have a top hatch that you can put figures in. Thanks for asking, I’ll update the post to reflect this.
Awesome! I love how the designers at Mega use their space such as this and the cockpit in the Scarab. Now I have to decide whether to put a missile system underneath, or convert it to a troop/cargo bay with a bottom doorway/ramp.
That vulture tho………..
This set is really beautiful! And that Locke figure is very well done.
And maybe, this could just be mega bloks mixing games in one set, the vulture will make an appearance in Halo 5: Guardians! And what if we got to…..to…..to pilot it!!! That would be amazing!!!!
Heh, I love the excitement! Bring it on!! That would definitely be cool. No guesses there from me, but I totally agree with you, Jared.
This is a must have for me. Really loving the design. If this is introduced to halo 5 ima be excited
Good to see Mega Bloks finally making the Vulture. I hope to see a Mega Bloks Grizzly in the future.
And isn’t it just a DMR that Locke is holding? Not a new weapon?
It’s a DMR, just a little tweaked, IIRC.
