New Halo Mega Bloks sets revealed!

You just knew there had to be more than what was shown at Toy Fair. I’m happy to share these pics showing the latest sets to be revealed to the public!

What’s pretty cool is with the exception of one set, each set has as part of it’s name something of quick movement in battle. Raid; Ambush; Blitz; Rush…

Brute Chopper Raidmega-bloks-halo-wars-2-brute-chopper-raid-set-31838-2This set was previewed at Toy Fair. Now we get a look at the box art itself and know how many pieces come in the set. With it being 221 pieces, you can expect the price to be right around $22. A couple dollar more perhaps at certain stores. I for one am excited to get this set mostly for the official Kat figure!mega-bloks-halo-wars-2-brute-chopper-raid-set-31838-5

Covenant Wraith Ambushmega-bloks-halo-wars-2-covenant-wraith-ambush-set-31844-2
This is the Halo 5 styled Wraith. What I really like about this set is that we get not just a cool looking new vehicle, but that we get a Red HellJumper Spartan, not to mention TWO Elites! Also, the standard 2X3 figure stands seem to have been replaced with the 2X6 angled plates. I like those MUCH better than the standard plates. For one, if you don’t use them as figure stands, they can still fit into your scenery nicely. As well, we get a nice little bit of added scenery in the set. At 640 pieces, the set will real for about $65 to $70.mega-bloks-halo-wars-2-covenant-wraith-ambush-set-31844-5

UNSC Jackrabbit Blitzmega-bloks-halo-wars-2-unsc-jackrabbit-blitz-set-31848-2
Well, now we know for sure we are going to see Red Team in action! The Spartan included in this set is NOT Master Chief. Nope, it’s Douglas-042!  This vehicle looks a bit like the tumbler cycle from the Batman movies. That’s not a bad thing either. I’m excited to get this set. Maybe two of them!! At 91 pieces we may get this for $10. However, keep in mind that the cyclops sets were around $15 when they first came out. So I’m looking for this to be around that price range instead.

Dual Mode UNSC Warthogmega-bloks-halo-wars-2-dual-mode-unsc-warthog-set-31846-2 V2
Okay, first what’s cool about this set is that you do not get just ONE version of the hog, but TWO! Well, an upgrade pack that is. Meaning, you can switch this from being a rocket hog to a gauss hog with a switch of the turret! This is a FIRST for Mega and a WELCOMED one to boot! Although, I know I’m going to get two of this set so I can have both versions to display. Still, it’s a good way to save money if you’re only looking to get one set and perhaps swap out the turret from time to time. We get a “new” Spartan armor in this set. Now to me, it looks like War Master. However, it’s labeled as War Hammer, so we’ll see. The shoulder armor is different, so this is a distinct possibility. At 320 pieces, this should retail between $32-35. I’m diggin’ the steely black color of the hog as well as the desert speckled armor of the Spartans. (That’s fast becoming my favorite spartan armor color, behind Chief’s of course.mega-bloks-halo-wars-2-dual-mode-unsc-warthog-set-31846-5

UNSC Spade Rushmega-bloks-halo-wars-2-unsc-spade-rush-set-32730-2
I’m actually glad to see the Spade return. I for one enjoyed that vehicle in Halo Reach. This color version isn’t completely reflective of an in-game color model. However, it’s came green and brown are fantastic choice for an off-shoot! I am TOTALLY digging’ the spartan color choices here due to the combination of armor and visor colors. Very striking difference to what we normally get and that for one is a great thing, IMO! At 215 pieces this should retail between $22-25. mega-bloks-halo-wars-2-unsc-spade-rush-set-32730-5There will be lots more Halo Mega Bloks coming, so stay TUNED to HaloFanForLife.com for more info on all things Halo Mega Bloks and Halo in general!!!

  1. I’m definitely getting one of everything here, but 2-4 warthog if I can manage. I may even retire an old one to the parts bin and put a LAAG on one of these bodies. Not only do I love the interchangeable weapons that come with it, but the optional up armored bumper and guard rails really grab my attention. This is going to be one beefy hog!
