And on with the pics! (Click pics to make BIGGER)
The box displays Jerome nicely through a window on the front of the box. The back shows all of the contents as well as the other figures in Series 2. As well it shows the corresponding parts for the Imperial Build-A-Figure Imperial Grunt. Here we see the full plastic tray with the figure, armor parts and accessories along with the instruction manual.
Apologies that I forgot to get pics of just the armor off of the figure as well as the unarmored figure itself.
The articulation of the figure is amazing!
Each figure from series 2 includes different parts for the Grunt. Purchasing Jerome will get you this methane tank for the Imperial Grunt. Just look at the amazing detail of this piece! Lots of great paint application too! This part made me excited to put the Imperial Grunt together! I’ll have the review of that figure after I’ve reviewed all the other figures from this series.
And looky there a shotgun! Ha, I just reviewed Spartan Buck, and had hoped for a shotgun. I forgot that Jerome came with one. Coolness! Well, now I can switch weapons between Jerome and Buck. I like that Mattel also included a magnum. Always great to have more accessories!Lastly for accessories are the two plastic pins (as seen in the small plastic bag above). These can be used to secure the shotgun to the back of Jerome and magnum to his thigh armor. Each figure has these pins for similar usage.
Jerome in orthographic views. Be sure to click on this pic to see a larger size of it to see the detail. Dual wielding all the way!
Evaluation
Sculpt: Excellent 10 of 10 medals!
Articulation: This figure has articulation that now fairly standard for Mattel Halo figures. 10 out of 10 medals
Paint Application: The paint on Jerome is slightly dull. However, the graphic appliqués really add to the character. 8.5 of 10 medals
Accessories: I’m happy that Jerome comes with not one, but TWO weapons. 10 out of 10 medals
Playability: Lots of posing possibilities, as well as two weapons allow for great play and display options. 10 of 10 medals
Overall: 48.5 medals out of a total 50 medals.
Do I recommend this product? Most definitely! I’m a BIG fan of Green Armored super soldiers! Reminds me of days long gone by of the old plastic army men. Here’s hoping Mattel makes the other two Spartans (Alice and Douglas) from Red Team so we can have the full squad!
Seen left to right are: Douglas 042, Jerome 092, Alice 130. Note the red stripe on the action figure changed from the original placement as it was in the original Halo Wars game. It now reflects the looks of Jerome in Halo Wars 2.
