Halo TV show to start filming in October and now we know where!

The Halo TV series starts filming in October and now we know where it will start!

In an article on pursue news.com, we find that the Halo TV show is to start filiming this October in Budapest, Hungary.

No why Budapest? Seems a bit out of the way for an American production. Perhaps production costs.

Regardless, with the hype that “Ready Player One” gave to some fans for having Spartans in it, the time is ripe for a live-action adventure. It’s been too long since the 2013 announcement during E3 that a show by Steven Spielberg was forthcoming.

The big questions are, when will this take place and who will be the main characters?

Halo Toy PRE-view: Halo Wars 2 Frostraven!

First a big thanks to Mega Construx fan Kevin Thornburn for pointing this out on Facebook!

So there has been just a scant few pics of the upcoming Frostraven set from Mega Construx online. Now we have an official listing for it on Amazon Canada.

Let’s have a look at the set!

For those unfamiliar, the Frostraven is comparable in size to a Pelican, but has attributes of the Falcon from Halo Reach. This flying beast rains down cold and freezes opponents! You can see the large cold storage units on the underbelly of the craft. Also note Decimus comes with his signature Mech suit! Continue reading

Artful April, a months worth of Halo art!

As March Mega Madness wraps up, I wanted to let you all know what’s upcoming for HFFL!

I still have several more product reviews, though those will be spread out throughout the month of April instead of nearly every day as they were in March.

For April, I’m going to concentrate a lot on the art of Halo, both official art and fan made! So If you’ve created some Halo art or have seen some great stuff on the net, please e-mail me the links and I may include them throughout “Artful April, a months worth of Halo art!”

Before I go further, let me say that I’ve taken to calling the mech the Gruntbuster and not Goblin. It’s a take on the Hulkbuster armor from Iron Man. Yes, it doesn’t bust Grunts. More like it’s a Grunt that is doing the busting! So if I use this word, later in the review, you know why.

The box art shows the set in a dynamic action shot. One of the better ones in recent history, IMO.
