Fan Reskinned multiplayer map Truth becomes “Candor”.
A reskin of Truth, made by my friend Arpod. I really like the way he makes his reskins. Absolutely stays true to the original map’s geometry, but with a totally different look!

Monday meme of the day!
Found this over the weekend. It’s a template made from one of the panels in the Spartan Linda comic book “Lone Wolf”. Go over and check out all the memes made form this. Some pretty good ones in the bunch. I even added one to it!

Some cool Fan Art I found.
These cool fan art pieces come from @MilesTheDill via twitter. Permission was asked and granted to repost them here.
Love this action scene. The Pink Spartan stands out against the more earthy tones.
Not sure if this is Noble Six, prior to Reach. Regardless, it’s pretty cool!
A very cool battle scene. I can totally see this in a comic book.
So what do you think of this art? Like it?
Fan Made Mega Construx Mastadon!
I’ve found another fan made Mastadon from Halo Wars 2. Just had to share it! And yes, I asked for permission to repost the pics.
I wonder if there is an interior in there?
Here’s a comparison between their custom and a warthog.
While this one isn’t quite to scale with the actual one from the game, it’s still got some great details!
This came from @Trapptics via twitter.
Fan sculpted Elite Helmet
Nicholas Yelsa is back at it again (and quickly) with a helmet now to go with his Elite head sculpt. It’s still a work in progress but looks great so far!
Heh, I didn’t expect an update so quickly, but am happy to post it. Check it out!
If Nicholas keeps pumping out pics like this, his project may become a recurring article on HFFL!!
Time Lapse Spartan Art
I found this on twitter yesterday and knew I just had to share it! Yes, I got permission to repost it here. Watch the whole thing!!

I just love this whole timelapse. From the sketching to resizing, refinement, line art, inking and shading, this piece of art is well done! Be sure to click on both the artist twitter account and the person who commissioned the artwork for more great Halo art!

Fan sculpted Elite Head and Hand
Yesterday, Feb 5, 2019, Nicholas Yelsa posted images of his sculpted Elite head and hand. I asked him for permission to repost those here, for which he gave.
Take a look!
These are absolutely AMAZING! The detail is fantastic. Not just the large detail, but the softer skin detail.
To see the original facebook post of Nicholas’ you can go HERE.
Fan made OG Master Chief with modern graphics!
Installation01 folks have been working hard on their remake of Halo. In the meantime, they just released these images (used here with permission) of their version of the original Master Chief as seen in demo reels before Halo CE even came out.
First let’s start with the OG of OGs of Master Chief.
This is how he was originally seen back in 1999! Continue reading
Artful April Fan Made Halo Art: Tekka Croe
I recently found Tekka-Croe on deviantart and just knew I had to share their wonderful Halo art. Not only do they have some great Halo art, but a lot of other Sci-fi art as well.
Here are some of their best Halo artworks.

Paracord “Master Chief” wristband
So I’ve been wanting one of these for the LONGEST. My wife finally decided she’d get the supplies to make some and asked if I wanted any specific colors.
I asked about a dark olive green and copper. The store had the first, but didn’t have copper. It did have yellow gold instead. Works for me!
So I went about making my first ever paracord wristband. I named it Master Chief for obvious reasons. Yes, I MADE THIS!
The know I used is called dragon’s claw. You can see that in all the pics, but I think best in the one that has the band at length below.
What’s cool is that there is a different pattern on the reverse (inside here) side. So you can wear it inside out if you like. I really like the dragon’s claw look though, so I’m keeping it like that.
And here’s my hairy wrist demonstrating the band being worn.
Now, I know it’s not perfect. It is my first time after all…..
Anyway, I did start one out but didn’t like how the knots were looking. So I untied it and started over. I used 550 Paracord with a black swivel clip. The second time around not only did this get easier but I also was getting faster and paid much more attention to the tightness of the knots. It took about 1- 1 1/2 hours to make this. That’ might seem long, but again, first time for me.
I had so much fun making this that I’m going to make more Halo themed paracord wristbands. I’ll even make them with different kinds of knots so they will be unique from one another.
Hmm…might even start an etsy page for these?? I guess that will depend on demand. At any rate, I’m enjoying them for myself!

Fan Made Didact Helmets for sale!
My friend, Keith Muelas makes Halo masks. When I saw he was in need of funds and was selling DIdact masks, I knew I had to help him out and post an article here!
I make all of my Didact Helmets. They are made out of Smooth Cast 320 which is a two-part urethan resin plastic. Raw castings are $80 shipped, while Complete Castings are $200 shipped.
Raw Castings will need to be cleaned up, sanded, painted, and have visors installed. They are simply just raw castings straight out of the mold.
Complete castings are padded on the inside, ready to wear as soon as it is received.
I have them available for purchase on Etsy here:Â https://www.etsy.com/shop/bighungry2xprops
However, they are at an increased price due to the Etsy fees. If anyone is looking to take advantage of the lower cost point, I take payments through Paypal and can be contacted at [email protected].
– Keith Muelas
These are works of art folks. That I know of, there isn’t an official license Didact helmet out there. This is the closest you’re going to come to one and they are beautiful! Help yourself and Keith out by getting one. And of course, let me know if you do. I’d be happy to share pics of you with yours on the blog.
Let’s Test Halo 5 | Bulletproof Warthog
From the YouTube channel DefendTheHouse:
Pretty cool! I’m going to have to try that needler trick.
Fan Made Pillar of Autumn made from Mega Bloks!
I saw this via twitter and knew I had to share this. Pics are unedited and used with permission by Dylan (and Tyler) Crossman the builder of the model. Any text added after this is his description, unless of course I use my “HFFL:” tag for it.
Hey guys i’m back with a MONSTER custom-Pillar of Autumn, this time, made out of 90% Mega bloks (10% was from the 2 big thruster I have to craft in cardboard and bucket
Pillar of Autumn was one of most well known ship in halo history and it also had one of the most important role. Back in 2014, Timmega made a poll on what signature series should they made, PoA was one of them but lost to a scarab by 100 votes and it got either 200-300 votes
Pillar of Autumn was one of the ship that I’ve been Waiting for from at least Goodwill Hunter and Carbon from Spartan bloks but since I never seen it from them, I went to give it a try
That build became the biggest, Best, harddest, most fragile, most challenging build me and Tyler (Halo Zone 24/ Zelot2468 ) ever accomplished
It took me 3 attempt to final made it (1 last year, 1 at 1 month ago and one about 3-4 weeks ago) When I made the 1st attempt, I lost interest and move on to Heavy Cruiser. 2nd time I got frustrated because it kept tipping over and crash. At my 3rd time, I decide to split to 5 parts and make it where I have to be connected by 2 clip-on pegs on sets like warthog and it WORK (Like others said:3 times the charm)

[Mitake machine] Halo 5 Forge Map
I saw this via a Facebook post from the Halo Podcast Evolved group. HAD to repost it here!
That is some MIGHTY scripting there!
Here is the description from Youtube:
This map was made in Forge mode of HALO 5.
BLUE (one person) must steer the machine to fight with the RED .
Two cores are in one arm. There are four cores in total. Visor breaks when all cores are broken.
Destroy the core in the helmet (or destroy the core top of the head when the machine falls down) Red can fight with the driver. Defeat!
Wow, I have to really try this out! Looks VERY menacing!
