About Sal

I’ve got tons of experience with Halo gaming and collecting. I feel I have something to offer to the greater Halo fan community. Posts along the way will be about tips and tricks in the games as well as collecting and many more Halo related things. I’ll also repost interesting articles from the official site, Halowaypoint.com, or from fellow Halo fan sites. As I continue this blog, I hope to help gamers who want advice on the games, as well as any collectors with regards to where to find collectibles as well as deals, coupons and so on. You can also follow me on Twitter at: http://twitter.com/#!/HaloFanForLife or Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/halofanforlife11. Things starting to pick up!

Not a ton of new Halo stuff went on last month. That’s in part why I’ve been a bit quiet, not to mention working on my weight loss. At present, that stands at 66 pounds lost in 6 months.

Things will be revving up in a few days as we prepare for New York Comicon and any Halo news coming forth from there.

As October progresses,we’ll of course be getting more excited for the Halo Master Chief Collection. Hopefully there will be yet more things to learn of either HMCC or Halo Nightfall. Anything that pops up on those fronts, you can bet I’ll report on here.

This reminds me, if any of you are going to midnight releases for the Master Chief Collection, please send any pics of that to me and I’ll post them up on the blog. Nothing offensive mind you.

Working on a big Halo Mega Bloks build/review

Yesterday, I got the new Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Troop Elephant. Since we had company over for a bit, I couldn’t get to the build much, other than sorted half the pieces.

Today, I finished sorting and am about 60% of the way through the build. I look to have this built tomorrow. After which I’ll get the photos ready for the review and will have that up Tuesday.

It is now October, which means that we can officially say that Halo: The Master Chief Collection launches next month.

Within the studio walls, various teams around the studio are putting the finishing touches on all of the experiences that await you this fall. In one corner, the Halo Channel team can be found building an all new entertainment platform, and I can be found peeking in between desks in an attempt to get a sneak peek at Halo: Nightfall. In another corner, the Halo 5: Guardians team is finishing up various features that we’ll be talking about in the near future. And at my desk, endless amount of Halo: The Master Chief Collection “tests” are underway, in which I play an endless amount of multiplayer matches from each game. Conversations about featured playlists, tournaments, community events, and more fill the halls and conference rooms.

At the rare times when I manage to put my controller down and come up for air, I have the privilege of seeing all of these moving pieces in action, and I’m instantly excited about the games, programming, and experiences that await each of us over the course of the next few months and beyond. This anticipation generally leads to ponderings about what each of you are most excited about this fall, and it just so happens that we want to hear from you.

HFFL: As it just so happens, you will hear from us. I’ll be recording a podcast this weekend! Continue reading
