The Spirit of Fire Podcast #2 “The Halo 4 Global Championship” Edition
Well the Halo 4 Global Championship is over and a winner has been crowned. This week we celebrate the finals of the competition in specific as well as the production on the whole.
As always we start out with the Halo Week in Review where talk about such subjects as:
• Spartan Assault gets new content
• Halo Mega Bloks toy reviews
• Legendary BRs coming into Infinity Slayer
• Ricochet on other maps
• PAX Halo happenings (other than the Championship)
• An interview with Dan Ayoub of 343 regarding Spartan Assault
We then get into the MEAT of the podcast where we discuss the Championship, the Elite 8, the 1v1’s, the tie and the epic tie-breaker for the WIN. Along with that all the other events happening during the live stream such as the musical acts, Rooster Teeth shorts, game trailers and more.

Footage from the epic sudden death match of the Halo 4 Global Championship!
Beyond Entertainment tweeted out the link to their 4 minute video of the LIVE sudden death match of the Halo 4 Global Championship, along with the post game interview with winner Aaron “lx Ace xl” Elam and Jessica Chobot, crowd reaction, and the final words from Major Nelson.
Until Waypoint (hopefully) puts out the actual streamed footage, this is the best you’re going to get for a replay of the events. And actually, I almost prefer this as it captured not only the match, but crowd reaction in it’s rawest moments! Great job to Beyond Entertainment and thanks for tweeting that link out.

Now that PAX or more specifically the Halo 4 Global Championship has wound down, here are some final pics and news from the event.
Virgin Gaming’s Community Manager gave away his passes and this neat little Warrior helmet pin. Damn…another pin I need now to complete that collection.
Here’s the pin up close. So I need this one, the Scout (MEGA Bloks booth giveaway from SDCC) and the Sarah Palmer Helmet pins to complete the Halo pin collection. Well, that is until there is one that will undoubtedly be at NYCC…

After weeks of qualifiers and on-line competitions as well as invitations, we finally have a winner and newly crowned Halo 4 Global Champion.
He is Aaron “lx Ace xl“. And he’s $200K richer!!!
