The Mega Bloks Troop Elephant build is done. I’ve got some pics to take of the figures and the final build of the vehicle itself. Before those shots are taken, I already have over 50 pics of the build.

I’m taking a break from it tonight though. I’ve been having some muscle and joint pain issues the last few weeks. That is another part of why I haven’t posted as much. The pain has been affecting my right elbow, shoulder and right side of my neck. So I can’t type for long without being in pain. I’m on meds for it now, so hopefully this will get better soon.

I just wanted you all to know that while I haven’t posted a lot lately, I’m still very much a Halo Fan For Life. It’s just health issues that have been a large part of what’s kept me from posting.

Tomorrow I will have the Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Troop Elephant Toy Review as well as an article of recent Halo Art I’ve found, via Pinterest.

This is a good time if any of you have something you’d like to write or have me write about that is directly Halo related. Please feel free to send me your ideas, thoughts, articles, etc. You can send those to sal@halofanforlife.com. If you are getting your info from another source, please be sure to include links to that source as well in your e-mail. I like to give credit to the source as much as possible.

See you back here tomorrow!

To commemorate halofanforlife.com’s 3rd anniversary of coming into being, I’ll be posted trivia questions starting tomorrow and continuing through to the 23rd of Sept.

There will be small prizes for those who answer correctly FIRST.

In order to enter these trivia contests, you must be a blog member, which of course is free to join. Go HERE to register and be eligible to win prizes.

I will be posting questions via the blog, twitter, and HFFL’s Facebook page.

Again though, ONLY registered user of the blog can answer and ONLY via the blog itself. So if you answer on twitter or the Facebook page, those answers are NOT eligible to win.

This past weekend saw the 2nd Annual HFFL LANstravaganza come and gone. It started Thursday night when I went to pick up my first guest from the airport. That was ‘Dij’. He’s one of my HFFL gaming group buds. He came up form Texas. There’s a few photos of him in the recap below.

Lots of fun was had, so take a look and read on about a great Halo weekend. Continue reading →

This year’s Annual HFFL LANstravaganza is complete. I stepped away from blogging and nearly all of social media from Friday to Monday morning. This, so that I could ensure I was a good and attentive host to my guests from all over the country. We actually had MORE people from out of state this year than local folks. That’s pretty darn cool, if you ask me. (Even if you didn’t, I just told you so, LOL)

This weary Spartan needs to clean up the house, catch up all the Gamescom events as well as al the social media missed.

I’ll have several Mega Bloks reviews coming this week as well. And as always, fresh Halo news! Of course I’ll have a complete recap of the events in a few days.

Stay tuned though folks, as I’ll be having Halo trivia questions for prizes leading up to HFFL’s 3rd anniversary as a blog on September 23rd!

Okay folks, I need those RSVPs ASAP.

Anyone who is coming to the LAN and has not yet e-mailed me to confirm you are coming, please send me an e-mail at sal@halofanforlife.com.

I need to have a final count so I know how much food and beverages to buy. If you RSVP later than Tuesday there eight not be enough to go around. If you’ve been on the fence about coming, please make your decision by then. If so, again, send me that e-mail.

Check the LAN page for all other details.

I look forward to seeing/meeting all those attending!
