It’s been a little while since I’ve had a new set to buy, build and review. Finally they are starting to hit retail shelves and I’ve got one coming!

Hot Wheels Halo Vehicles
This isn’t named as such, but for the sake of ease for future reference, we will call this Wave 1. This wave includes the following vehicles:
• UNSC Mongoose
• Covenant Ghost
• UNSC Warthog
• Banished Wraith
• UNSC Scorpion
The cost per vehicle is $5 each. They can be found at major retailers. Mine were found at Wal Mart.

The box front has a very large display window. This is great for those who want to know what comes in the set. As well, for those folks who plan on keeping the set in the box, it’s great to have a large window like this , so they can appreciate the contents, without having to open it up.

Microsoft commisioned three artists to make Halo Wars 2 posters. 2 each to each artist, one of a UNSC leader and the other a Banished leader.
These first two were created by Kevin Tong.
The following two were created by Grzegorz ‘Gabz’ Domaradzki.
And the last two were made by Craig Drake.
Which one do you like the best?
I think the middles pairing of Anders and the Shipmaster are fantastic! Use of a limited color palette with the striking reds and oranges really brings out the ‘WARS’ aspect of the posted.
No details yet on how these can be obtained. However, I’m told that they will be available at retail in some form. If that’s as a bonus at a Microsoft store or as individuals you can buy, I do not yet know. Once I do know though, you can bet I’ll post it here!

The box front features a cool action shot! As you can see by the window on the front of the box, the Brute Bodyguard doesn’t have the blueish sheen that it has in the action shot.

One of my favorite unsung features in Halo Wars 2 is something that lore-leaning Halo fans have asked about for quite some time. Aside from a (admittedly really cool) Kinect-centric Library feature included with 2011’s Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, there hasn’t often been much in the way of a more comprehensive “codex”-style destination within a Halo game, which makes the new Phoenix Logs feature something I’m personally pretty stoked about.
Mega Bloks has changed it’s name to Mega Construx. For the sets I’m reviewing that still have the Mega Bloks logo, that will be present in them. The sets that are now Mega Construx will have that logo. With a possible couple of exceptions in 2017, all Mega reviews will be Mega Construx instead of Mega Bloks.

McFarlane was lucky enough to have the license to produce Halo action figures for several years. In that time they made several Master Chief figures. McFarlane is known for highly detailed sculpts and Master Chief got the full treatment of that.
Chief was made with various armor sets from the lore of Halo. The quality of the sculpt really shows too. McFarlane did an AMAZING job!
In chronological order from lore.
Here is the armor from Halo the mini series Forward Unto Dawn. The piece you see to the bottom right was part of a Build-A-Emblem series. Once you had all the pieces you could assemble them to make the Bungie version of the UNSC emblem.
