LAN Event attendees, brush up on your Halo trivia!

I’ll be asking trivia questions throughout the LAN Event. If you get it right first, you’ll win a small prize. (Once you’ve won, please give someone else a chance to win.)

These small prizes will range from Halo Mega Bloks minifigures to McFarlane Halo Avatar figures, to a McFarlane Halo 4 Watcher action figure, or a McFarlane Halo 4 Crawler action figure.

Don’t forget EVERYONE who comes to the event (with paid admission) gets a free Halo Mega Bloks convention exclusive minifigure as a door prize and my thanks for attending the LAN Event, courtesy of Mega Brands, makers of Halo Mega Bloks.

HFFL has been promoting the LAN for a few weeks now. In that short time, I got 26 registrations. Not too bad considering the limited time.

During this time I also contacted several Halo licensees to see if they’d donate prizes. Door prizes and prizes for the Free-For-All tournament that is part of the LAN.

MEGA Brands, makers of Halo MEGA Bloks answered the call!!

Everyone coming to the LAN with paid admission will receive the Halo minifigure exclusive. So far it’s only been given out at San Diego Comicon, with expectations of it likely being given away at New York Comicon as well.

In addition to that, the top three finishers in the FFA tourney will receive prizes.
These are:
1st place: one each of the Halo Mega Bloks Night Ops Gauss Hog and Anti Armor Cobra (total value approx $83 before tax)
2nd place: Mega Bloks Anti Armor Cobra (approx value $50)
3rd place: Mega Bloks Night Ops Gauss Hog (approx value $33)

Footage from the epic sudden death match of the Halo 4 Global Championship!

Beyond Entertainment tweeted out the link to their 4 minute video of the LIVE sudden death match of the Halo 4 Global Championship, along with the post game interview with winner Aaron “lx Ace xl” Elam and Jessica Chobot, crowd reaction, and the final words from Major Nelson.

Until Waypoint (hopefully) puts out the actual streamed footage, this is the best you’re going to get for a replay of the events. And actually, I almost prefer this as it captured not only the match, but crowd reaction in it’s rawest moments! Great job to Beyond Entertainment and thanks for tweeting that link out.
