I have “Reached” the end…of Halo Reach.

Earlier I posted Tuesday would be my last night of playing Halo Reach. I had some good games with my gaming group buds. The best for last.

I got a perfection!

Thanks to all of those folks I’ve gamed with in Halo Reach over the past two years+. It’s been fun, now it’s time for Halo 4!!!

Also, stay tuned for some great stuff coming out of New York Comicon. I’ll be live tweeting all weekend from the convention floor!

Tonight is my last night of playing Halo Reach.

It is with some sadness as well as celebration that I play Halo Reach for the last time tonight.

Since I’m going to be uber busy tomorrow prepping for my trip to New York Comicon, I won’t have time for Reach. After NYCC, I’ll be playing Halo CE: Anniversary and Halo Wars to try and finish those achievements off. Should I finish before Halo 4 comes out, I’ve got a couple of other projects I can attempt to finish.

Tonight is my normal gaming group’s members night. However, if you’d like to join me for this final night of Reach, please send me an e-mail/XBL message letting me know you want to play. Should there be room, I’ll be happy to get you in for some games.

I can say I had a LOT of fun playing Reach. I’ve attained everything I had sought out to do and then some.

I hit Inheritor last year July. I went over 95% commendation. I improved my K/D. Got all of the achievements for Reach, and most importantly, branched out and made a bunch of new friends.

Reach has been good to/for me. While some may complain it wasn’t a great Halo game, for me, it was. While I put this game to rest tonight, I’ll reflect on the good times I had and look forward to what Halo 4 will bring to me.

Thanks Bungie not just for Reach, but for all of the Halo titles you created over the past 10 years. Thanks 343 for picking up the mantle with Reach and moving forward with the franchise with a whole new trilogy in the works.

Okay, now that the mushy stuff is over, anyone want to play Reach? Halo 4 in 4 weeks!!!

Forward Unto Dawn (unofficial) Graphic Novel: Episode 1

On Friday I brought to you my 6-part review of the first episode of “Forward Unto Dawn.”

I’ve taken that quite a step further and made a graphic novel of the first episode. Using the screenshots I took as well as typing out some the dialog, I added Photoshop effects as well as laid out the project in InDesign.

Feel free to download this as it’s FREE. If you repost this anywhere, PLEASE give me credit as: Designed by Sal Salerno of HaloFanForLife.com
And please link back to my original post here.

Please let me know what you think of the graphic novel, as I’ll be doing one for each of the six episodes.

Without further ado:

This was a labor of love. I really enjoyed making this. Again, if you have any comments, please feel free to respond here, on Twitter, Facebook, or e-mail me at: sal@halofanforlife.com

Exclusive Halo 4 Forge Mode Details from Gamespot.

Thanks to @pete_the_duck on twitter for the link.

Wow, SO much to see here.

First we get the name of one of the three forge areas: Impact.
As well we find out the name of one of the pre-built forge maps: Relay.

I’m SUPER happy to hear each forge area has it’s own palette of items specific to it. The snap to (magnets) feature will make building quick, as well as copying objects.

Though this video only goes over one of the three areas, it shows enough that we have a lot of control over how we forge a map.

Thanks 343 for developing a superior Forge. Better than anything we’ve had prior!

Halo 4 just 4 weeks away!

This time 4 Tuesdays away, I’ll be knee deep into the Halo 4 campaign. Hmm, or maybe multiplayer by then???

Regardless, we’ll all be enjoying Halo 4 in it’s fully realized beautiful, artistic, well designed form. No more secrets, no more waiting.

Everything will be revealed!

I can feel the excitement building! Can you?
