Halo 3 and 4 to be ported to the XBOX One??? RUMOR

According to IGN today, the same person who posted on NeoGaf the other day that Halo 2 Anniversary was coming out in November and would Have Halo 5 Beta access also says the game will have two different releases. The following paragraph is an excerpt from the IGN report:

“The source claims that Halo 2 Anniversary is in the works for Xbox One and will be released on November 11 this year in two special editions. The first will be a standard Collector’s Edition that comes with beta access to Halo 5 and a Halo TV series (not the one rumoured to be directed by Neill Blomkamp). The second is a War Collection, which supposedly comes with everything from the Collector’s Edition as well as Xbox One ports of Halo 3 and Halo 4.”

HFFL: Now this is getting even MORE interesting and potentially exciting. It just seems a bit much though having Halos 2, 3, and 4 in one game with Beta access to 5 as well. Take this rumor with a HUGE grain of salt. While there are supposed “official” leakers squawking, Microsoft isn’t talking.

  1. I believed the Halo 2 Anniversary, but I don’t believe the war edition. Its obvious that the game will come with a few editions but Halo 3 and 4 being ported to Xbox One is a definite no no and a waste of money. I mean Halo 3 was recently released as a free game on Xbox live, why would day port it to Xbox One, and Halo 4, well Its just not worth it. My final reason to this being fake is that if Halo 3 and 4 were ported to Xbox One, then the Xbox one will be too overcrowded with Halo games. Also didn’t they also release a legends bundle or was that just a rumor. AND If Halo 3 was going to be on Xbox One it would be on 20th November 2017 when it is its 10 year anniversary! I could state more reasons but that is enough, I just don’t see that war edition happening

  2. While I do hope this us true, I’m also hoping they will port Combat Evolved Anniversary. It would be nice to finally have the original trilogy on one system!

  3. And yet… nothing for PC. Thanks microsoft, haven’t been waiting 7 years (ooh, bungie would be on top of this) or anything like that. Oh well. Maybe they will get around to it.

    • Actually wouldn’t be on top of it either. Don’t forget, Halo 3 wasn’t ported to PC officially, neither was Reach. Those were both Bungie titles.

      • My comment was directed to the fact that halo 3 is going to be ported to Xbone before PC. Although I wouldn’t mind having 4 or reach for the PC, I still really want to play through 3. Also, is there an unofficial port I am unaware of?
