Some really cool news has already come out of Gamescom this morning. The two videos to watch are not available now. So unless Waypoint unlocks those, you’ll have to read the below to find out some of what was revealed.

Today at gamescom in Cologne, Germany, we announced the Halo Channel. Debuting this November exclusively on Xbox One, it will be your destination for all things Halo Universe. We have a video that offers just a peek at some of the incredible original content, interactive features, and unlockable treats that await you.
Observant fans will note a very familiar looking map is being developed for Halo 5: Guardians in this video. Spoiler alert! It’s Midship and it’s being honored as the beloved home for small team, arena battles it’s always been known for. Want to learn more? Watch the video!
That’s not all! We also announced another one of the six re-mastered, reimagined maps that we’re doing for Halo 2: Anniversary in Halo: The Master Chief Collection – Sanctuary. If you’re at gamescom this week, you can be one of the first people ever to explore the verdant ruins of this iconic map.
Of course, all this week we’ll be at gamescom, but the home team is going to be part of the fun, too! On Friday, we’ll do a live stream of our pro team on Ascension and Sanctuary. We’ll let our hot-shots give you the first-person tour of these maps to whet your appetite for the finals direct from the Halo: The Master Chief Collection Gamescom Showdown on Sunday.

Hey Sal, The Halo video’s are up on The Official Xbox youtube Channel. Halo has had a great reveal today, showing off a bit of Halo 5 Guardians Beta and The beautiful Looking Sanctuary. I slowed the Trailer for the beta down and noticed a few new things to look out for. 11 Sandbox weapons (I have seen about 7-9), 2 of which have been revealed are new to Halo games that we have seen so far. Also there is a new scope for the BR, Looking like a normal Reflex/Holographic site we would see today. Also 7 armor configurations to choose from. So far I have seen 5, 2 again are new. Finally 3 of the 7 maps have been revealed, A new map that is shown at the start (That you recreated in forge fantastically), A remake of Midship, and what looks perfectly like a re-make of Halo’s smallest map to date, Skyline. Pretty much my analysis on the beta trailer right there, But with an Individual Halo conference tomorrow, I’m sure this is only the beginning for what 343 has to show us 😀
