Regarding leaks

For those that want to give me guff  over reposting the video from the Hunt the Truth website, I am only one fan with a simple blog. I unlike others do not make any money from Halo. I repost or reblog leaked content because I know other fans want to know more information.

if someone from Microsoft contacts me and asked me to take the post down I will. This has never been an issue before.

I am not the person who created the leak I’m only passing it along.

One can argue that if Microsoft didn’t want this information leaked, the website link would not have been posted. In today’s age of hackers and so on it is near impossible to avoid leaked content. One might also argue, that Microsoft or 343 wanted this information out there.

As is evident right now there is a lot of talk about the site and now the leak. I have no doubt some of those people who want to give me a hard time over reposting the link to the video have seen the video themselves.

They will argue that at least they didn’t repost the leak. Is that really any better or worse? Just because they haven’t posted it on their website doesn’t mean they’re talking about it with their friends. A few of these very same people run websites that charge their fans real money to view some of their content.

Again, I will state that I have never nor ever will charge for the content on this site. I firmly believe that as fans we should not be making money off of other fans in any capacity.

So understand that when leaks occur I likely will repost them or links to them.

I do not hold myself higher than other fans and will not take what some consider the higher road by not reposting leak content. I feel it is my duty as a fellow fan to inform you when there is any new Halo information. Some of those who state they are not reposting the leaks, do so in a manner that seeks to berate or degrade those that do.

In my opinion that is childish and irresponsible of them just as they say it is irresponsible of me to repost leaks

Decide for yourselves if any of this is wrong or not, and do not be swayed by other fansites.

Thank you,

  1. Sorry to hear people are giving you grief about reposting the leak, Sal. The way I see it, if they don’t like or aren’t happy with the content you post, they can go somewhere else. It’s your blog, you do what you want with it.

  2. I don’t see a problem with you posting leaks, especially since you’re willing to take them down if told to do so. You always post about what’s new with Halo and leaks are a part of that.
