Aeolian Hope a fan made Halo web comic book

So for the past few months, I’ve been helping with a fellow Halo fan’s project. This project is a black and white Halo comic book.

Aeolian Hope issue-1-cover

It started out with me helping a little bit with design of the pages, then it transitioned more into a consultation position as I’ve been busy as of late. The penciller, Brian Welker has a big interest in drawing comics. This is his first go at it. His step-father Aubrey contacted me. From there I’ve been consulting with them to let Brian know about some of the trade ‘secrets’ and standards of being a penciller in the comic book industry.

I think for his first go, he’s done a GREAT job. I’d appreciate it if you folks would go over to their site and take a look at his web comic. The link is below.

As well, you can see that I’ve been credited with consulting and visual editing here.

    • Yeah, I’d like to see him move forward in this. I think he did a great job for his first foray into drawing a comic book. If I recall, he’s only 17. That gives him time to improve upon his craft before seeking a job in the industry. Starting a comic book now is an EXCELLENT way to show off one’s work. For one, it shows how early he started. If he keeps doing more of those, he’ll have a nice portfolio built up for himself, when it comes time to find a job.

  1. This comic is pretty cool in my opinion, I look forward to seeing the rest!

  2. Not bad, especially for a first try. Nice to see you helping out other Halo fans.
